Cats are weird

Anyone that is owned by a cat knows this to be Gospel.
There is no such animal as a 'normal' cat.
They each have their own idiosyncrasies.
Like this photo: that is his patented "Open the window please" move.
Scar has developed a new one recently.
He used to just tell me "Out now".
Simple and easy. He'd ask, I'd let him out.
But then this turned into rolling around on the floor like he'd overdosed on 'nip while yelling "I WANNA GO OUT NOW".
But lately, it has metamorphosed into an entirely new act.
He'll roll on the floor talking for a minute, then he'll get up and make one circuit around the fan to signify he's ready to go out.
Don't know why it has come to this, but it happens all the time now.

@JohnRoberts I've been making circles around a fan, all my life! Then, someone always puts me out the door:(

The changing seasons make OUT more urgent and so the telling/asking must be more elaborate.

Every cat I have owned has his own little ways. They are like people and develop a character of their own. One thing that remained the same with all my cats - each one was the boss and ruled the house. It's different with dogs as they do as they're told .. well most of the time!

Well I truly feel u r right. They are sometimes a mess. When they are away from us sitting at a distance then that's alright but when they come near then u will surely get a thing or two from them.

Maybe he thinks that switching up his routines so they're more elaborate will get you to act quicker.

Saia is probably on the cat emergency phone now. I managed to get ahold of her when she was outside. I turned her over and kissed her on the head. Oh GAWD the growl and hissing. I figured it was pay back time cause I found mouse organs and other parts on the walk this morning.

Did you domesticate him yet? Kai domesticated, pretty sure Scar is not. Just saying because people like to compare. Also last cat I saw tore a legends ear damn near off. It gets crazy.

This is Mildred the Cat. I read this post and watched the video. I think what you are calling weirdness are actually signs of brilliance. My mom thinks so as well and my mom is always right.

When I tried walking around the fan saying, 'I Wanna Go Out!' my husband ignored me!:( Scar, just be very thankful, you have a good home, where you can voice your needs and get good results

I don't have a cat, but that really proves that cats are really not normal.

Some cats need to be the only feline in the house, while others are happiest when they have other cats around.
