Last week's wrap up

That Red Square Cafe turned out to be a a nice place with great coffee and pastries too. It is also an internet cafe. I did not know there were many of those still around.
My absence after Tuesday can be explained by yet another drive to Portland that day to see my daughter and do some things for her (she still has a boot on and can't drive), walk her little dog and do one more extras job on Wednesday.
The start time was delayed from 11 AM to 2:45 PM and then there were 150 extras involved for a crowded interior scene. As these things sometimes go, it was another 12 hour day. I got out of the place about 2 AM and drove back to my daughter's house to sleep a few hours, then it was up and out to breakfast with her, walk the dog again, pick up a prescription and head out for the two hour drive back to where I live. I recuperated from the long day pretty well.
Now we are getting ready to fly to Texas on Wednesday for a Studio Art Quilter's Convention in San Antonio. I lived there from age six to fifteen and this is my first time back.

Fortunately, I only had to drive ten miles, two freeways with GPS. Thanks!

You mentioned coffee and I got the urge for a cup. But I do not drink coffee and that is the problem

Yes, the last three weeks have been quite busy. I am sure the city there has changed immeasurably. I know that the 7 thru 12 high school I attended there was rebuilt in a different location, so no need to look that up.

@JamesHxstatic Some of the places/buildings I've returned to seem much smaller than I remember.

Sounds like a busy time. Neat you are going back to where you grew up for a little while. I always wanted to go back to Missouri to see this small town I grew up at for a while. See how much a town of 1300 changed in 30 years. Problem is my little sister is there and do not get along with her on much anything and then there is her husband who just adds fuel to the fire.

March was a crazy month, April should be quieter, even with this trip.

I am anxious to see how much I even recall. I was barely driving when we left there.

The only ones being shown at the convention are some small ones for a fundraising auction.

I really don't have anyone there that I know any more, but I will enjoy seeing the changes. The 24 story hotel where we are staying is an old remodeled bank building with a pool on the roof.
