Puppy interruptus

While trying to fill the water bowl Ally wants to bite the water. I took this in May 2013

Ok, she wasn't exactly a puppy anymore, Ally was 3 years old in the above photo. It was mid May 2013 and hot out, probably around 100 or so, and the humidity was probably around 10% so the outside water tubs for the dogs would evaporate quickly which meant I had to keep filling them up. As you can see, Ally made a wet game out of the water bowl refill. I had my waterproof boots on but the trouble was that all that splashing got water inside them

eeewww, what a squishy feelin. I'm just glad the camera didn't get wet. Can you see how she's really biting that water spray?

Thank you. She's 7 now so I'm not sure if she'll do this again. I hope so, I'd love to get some fresh shots of her. If you simply use the hose to water a tree they'll either try to bite at the water or ignore it. Do they have GSD in their line? Usually it's the GSDs that love to play with the water.

Ally looks cute in this photo. I know very well the feeling of water inside the waterproof boot. When I walk in the snow, sometimes it's too high and gets inside the boots... COLD!

I do not even want to think about that @LadyDuck it is awful when it gets squishy in them but at least it is not cold. Have you tried taping the tops of the boots to your pants before you go out in the snow?

Love that photo! My dogs loved biting water, too, lol. I wear knee high boots every time I walk Doodles. They need to be replaced with new ones. There is nothing worse than squishy water inside shoes or boots!

You can bet on it, when it's over 99(f) it's just about the only way to cool off .... funny thing is that she'll play in water like this but if I get serious about a bath she's all about running off. I have yet to figure that one out.

Thank you, I'm glad you can see her biting the water. Around here no one goes barefoot, there are far too many goat head stickers around here and as for flip flops well, I just can't stand anything twixt my toes.
