May is over, five months of year 2018 have already gone, only seven to go before the end of the year.
For those who live in the northern hemisphere, June brings Summer, it's end of schools and vacation season for some.
The birthstones of June are pearls and Alexandrite
The flowers of this month are Rose and Honeysuckle.
Some of the bizarre or special holidays of June are:
June 6th National Gardening Exercise Day
June 13th National Weed Your Garden Day - As one day a month would be enough!
June 22nd National Chocolate Eclair Day - I have to remember this, it's a good one.
June 26th Forgiveness Day - Let's do our best.
Have you special plans for the month of June?
May was a rainy month here, we hope for a better June.
The photo is my pink honeysuckle - one of the flowers of this month.

@JudyEv Whenever I hear ''Tasmania'' Tasmanian Tiger (now extinct) comes to mind.

I have not seen pink honeysuckle before. They are beautiful. Here we have white and yellow. I still love to sip the nectar from the flowers. The last day of school is tomorrow (8th) and my sisters birthday is on the 12th. It is going to be another busy month.

I love honeysuckle. I used to have outside my bedroom in the house I grew up in. Today is my uncle's birthday. Tomorrow would have been my other uncle's birthday.

I better start planning for that Xmas party that I organise every year. I have yet to decide who I will invite this year.

@LadyDuck That would be a good idea too as you both need that break from your heavy schedule day in and day out.

Your honeysuckle is beautiful. I have a friend who has a one in her backyard. I would love to have one myself. I am just spending this month taking care of my granddaughter and plan to take a couple of day trips. It is time for some fishing.

No special plans for the month of June but June is when I made my come back here in mylot after a few weeks of hiatus. It's nice to be back though but I have to go through some old discussions that I missed.
June 5th, today is my brother's 44th birthday and 18th is my sister's 46th. I can't believe that me and my siblings are all now in our 40s.

@toniganzon I felt as I was suddenly "OLD". I do not know why, from the 30s to the 40s there is a big difference. I want to see my niece when she will turn 40
. Those young girls now have the "Peter Pan" complex, they want to be forever 18 years old.

It's already June and for the past days it has been raining in the morning and then in the evening. Summer was short since the rainy season here has begun as predicted by the weather bureau.
I now can say that i prefer summer than the rainy season. The rain can bring floods to low lying areas.

May was a good month for me as we went on holiday and the weather was pretty stable. June will be quieter but I think I am going to enjoy it. I like the sound of National Chocolate Eclair Day

@LadyDuck Chocolate is my weakness although I must admit I ate more savoury stuff while I was away. We spent most of our money on eating out. The site we stayed on had some delicious food on the menu.

@sprite1950 I love chocolate, I cannot resist to buy and in the evening I like my piece of chocolate. It's nice on vacation to have some good food, it's part of the pleasure.

@LadyDuck - We have already been busy in June, with several trips during the first half of the month. I am looking forward to Chocolate Eclair Day ... only two days from now!

I can hardly believe it is June already.. I have not even accomplished much of anything I set out to do yet. I laugh at National weed your garden day... If you would see my front garden.. I don't know if my neighbors will appreciate if I wait until June 13th to weed it... it is an eyesore at the moment.. more weeds then flowers!

@LadyDuck Time does fly. Actually, her first skating lessons began when she was 3 years old. Her parents read her Pinky in the Rinky, a Pinkalicious children's book, and she wanted to try ice skating like the little girl in the story did. Mom and Dad brought her to a rink, rented skates and she took off. Her first competition was when she was 3, and she won 1st place, not because she was a good skater, but because she was the only girl who waited for the music to begin before skating.

@LadyDuck We have been getting many days of rain since May. Same thing last year. It should warm up by the middle of this month and yes, by July we could see very hot and humid weather. And flies and other insects
