Happy Father's Day to all those celebrating! My loving father is long gone and never forgotten, but we do have two fathers in our family.
Our older son, a daddy himself, is in London and Paris on business for his law firm. I know he will contact my husband very soon.
Our younger son is returning from Boston today after a romantic weekend away. I already know the gift he thoughtfully got for my husband.
My granddaughter and grandson called and texted my wonderful husband, which made him so happy.
I've been hugging and kissing my precious husband, the father of my children, all day. He's the love of my life, and is treated like a king every day of the year.
Early evening we will be celebrating Father's Day at our new daughter-in-law's parents' home. What a happy day for these fathers.
Are you celebrating in your area?

Happy Father's day to your husband and son, Dianne. He is indeed one good father, great husband and provider.
We just had a special dinner at home since my dad wants to stay home so we just brought the food there.

Thank you so much. He is all that and much, much more.
I wish my dad was still around to celebrate. I miss him terribly.
I'm very happy happy you had a special dinner for your father. Sometimes we celebrate at home, too. This will be a first celebrating at my son's new inlaws. I know it will be lots of fun. They are such wonderful people and we are all very close.

@mlgen1037 So sorry that his neighbors are so bad and can't be trusted. That is awful. At least he enjoyed Father's Day with you and his family. That's all that counts.
And LOL! We all had a wonderful and fun time.

@DianneN Always a pleasure. I can see how good and loving your husband is to you and your children.
Thank you, Dianne. We would have wanted to eat out but my father is worried about leaving the house due to our bad neighbors. But he was a happy one last night. When Dianne is there, for sure it is always fun time.

@DianneN , I understand that...it is mutual love and breathing space that is required for every one that makes a family a loving one! I also never impose and restrictions on my family and I go according their wish and in return I also get a treatment like your hubby!

! Thanks!

Oh, thank you so much! My husband is a very lucky guy. He is treated like a king every day of the year. Our sons adore him. They look to him for advice on any subject, and he's so generous and loving towards them. They are so thoughtful and loving, too. I'm blessed to have such a wonderful and loving family.

@Courtlynn Oh, don't even think that! When my mom passed, I didn't think I could go on. Dreams of her saved me. I was as close to her as you are to your mom. Enjoy every single moment you can with her.

Belated Happy Father's day to your wonderful hubby! He deserves all the love and attention you will all be giving him.
So how was the dinner?
I was on duty the whole day as the officer on a SUnday, yesterday. Hubby went to the office and we had a simple dinner. Then we went home and watched a film that he chose on our laptop.

@SIMPLYD We had all types of appetizers with drinks, and made chicken with a special sauce, potato salad, a Chinese salad, fresh rolls he baked, corn on the cob, and strawberry shortcake made from scratch with the most wonderfully flavored whipped cream. I ate everything! My DIL's mother commented on my good eating. LOL!

So sorry you had to work on a Sunday. The last time I did that I was in high school and worked in a bakery on weekends and vacations. At least you had a nice evening with your hubby.
Our dinner was fabulous. Her parents invited her sister, hubs, and new baby, along with her mom's brother and his wife who were up from Florida to attend a wedding. My DIL's brother is a chef, and made the most wonderful dinner. It was so nice being together with our "new" family, and my hubby had a wonderful and happy Father's Day.

Thank you. He had such a wonderful Father's Day, even though our older son was in Paris. My husband was so happy to hear from him, the grandkids, and our older daughter-in-law. It was so nice celebrating with our younger son, his bride, and her family at their home. I love our family! Lol!

Thank you. He had a wonderful day and loved hearing from our son in Paris (on business) and the grandkids. Our other DIL called and spoke to him for a long time. I think she was lonely not celebrating with my son away.
Happy to hear you and your son celebrated together. I do feel bad that his son couldn't join you at the movies.

@DianneN Yeah, it was his fault though. He was a bit hung over. It was good to be with my son. We've gone to most of the Star Wars movies together.
I'm glad he got to talk to his DIL for a while, and sorry she is missing her husband in Paris.
