Stress and Change...

Well, this has been a year and I just thought I would stop by and see what was going on in the world of myLot. Distract myself from daily life a bit.
There is so much going on in South Africa, worrying times, but I suppose every country has something it is going through. All going okay in your part of the world?
When I am stressed, I tend to change the colour of my hair, so, here is the lighter locks me (yes, the dark hair has said farewell, lol). I wish everyone around the world a peaceful weekend.
Photo is mine.

Thank you Anna. I am glad to be able to chat with you again. Yes, with normal worries about health of loved ones, we now also need to worry about the stability of our country, it is scary. I don't have much time to watch international news, are there troubles in Europe? Thank you, I remember you saying I should return to the light hair I had when I was younger and now I have, I am happy you think it suits me.

@TheHorse , though our government denies it, they want to take land away from our farmers without compensation. It is definitely pay back for our history, they had land taken from them. So, if our farmers leave, well bye bye SA. We're just hoping things will be resolved before anything really awful happens.

@TheHorse I won't deny it the situation here is violent and dangerous for most, especially for farmers at the moment. They are trying to make like we are being hysterical, that they are trying to right a wrong peacefully. Your friend was wise to get out, for many of us though there is nowhere to run to and we can only hope and pray for the best.

@BelleStarr, I knew of him, I think we did chat once, I remember he was going for treatment for cancer. I am so sorry to hear he did not beat the battle against cancer. May he Rest In Peace.

The lighter locks look really good!
Yes, worrying times are in every country. Can't say that I remember there not be hard times, bad times, ever. We humans tend to make a mess of things don't we @bluesa

@bluesa It seems there is something looming here, but we won't know what will happen next until it happens!

Thank you!
True, throughout history mankind has not been able to just behave and let peace have a chance. Yes, we humans tend to make a mess of things. Just where does one run to when the paw paw hits the fan because the government messes up badly. All we can do is pray and hope.

Wow! Uhhh...
I meant to say you are getting more beautiful every time I see you, Cat.
(Yes, I think that color suits you very well.)
Okay, *sigh* I started to ask you about the affects of the "land grab" controversy, but see it isn't anywhere close to as simple as I thought it was... (I honestly don't even try to keep up with what is happening in other countries if/when it has little to do with me. I know that doesn't speak well for my intelligence or humanity.
But that is the attitude of most Americans. I can't change that and can only sympathize with people who are living with something like what is going on in your country.
)
I do hope you and your family are okay and nothing bad happens to anyone, anywhere.
If there IS anything I can do to help, you have my email address and are welcome to contact me at any time.

@bluesa I can understand the attitudes of the people who were unfairly repressed, but turning around and repressing others is not any kind of answer... That's only going to egg on people who are violent in nature to take things into their own hands. It's not fair that the children must pay for the sins of their father, either. (Unfortunately, I don't have a solution everyone could live with, though.)
By chance, do you use Whatsapp?
If things get bad enough that you need to relocate, you are welcome to come here. (Not joking.
) This isn't quite the best area in the world to live, but it is nice, quiet and safer than most other places you could be...
Thank you
... other than having fun allergic reactions, I am as fine as I can be. (I will admit the minor heart attack a few weeks ago scared me. But the doctors say I had very little damage from it and can continue living as I have been with little worry. I'm okay with that.

@DaddyEvil I don't have a solution either. I know that what happened all those years ago Thank was cruel and unjust but to do this now, well, I don't know what that would accomplish.
Yes I do, do you?
Thank you, that is so kind of you
. With my Mom being on an oxygen machine permanently, if we had to relocate it would have to be somewhere not too far from South Africa though, but thank you.
Oh No! Sorry you had a minor heart attack, that is so scary! Please be extra careful with your health.

Thank you so much @DaddyEvil
. Yes, it is not at all simple, what is going on. I guess we're paying for the past, or, we're going to. All has gone silent for the moment..the calm before the storm? I am not sure. I understand that most of us live in our own world, I know I am out of touch with international news, but thank you for your sympathy for what is worrying times here.
Thank you, I also hope that nothing bad happens to anyone, anywhere, I just wish people could live and let live.
Again, thank you and I hope all is going well with you.

I like the new look! A rebirth of the spirit perhaps. Life is full of happiness and tears; be strong and have faith. Hoping things ease up and brighter days find your future

it is a good quote, but I really appreciate the "brighter days find your future" we all need to hope for brighter days.

That's a good reason for changing your hair colour. I do change mine including hair style every 6 months or so, stress or no stress.

Arr you look absolutely stunning Catherine. Well as you are probably aware that we are in the throws of Brexit leaving the European Union. So things are very much up in the air at the moment. Concerning times indeed.

Thank you so much dear Gary
. Yes, I have been keeping an eye on that, as my cousin lives in the UK. @garymarsh6 we're in a terrible recession, the rich and well off are fine, as is the case in most countries, but for the rest it is scary scary times. I hope the pound will keep its head above water, and the backlash from Brexit won't be a total disaster. Do take care.
