My Wife Left Me

Well, that is it. I got home from my business travel, my wife had packed some bags, and the house was empty, but the cat was still here. To be fair, I knew this would be the case. I mean, we had talked about it, and so it was no real surprise. The writing was already on the wall days ago if not months ago. Okay, okay. So I am not being entirely genuine here. She is only gone for a weekend trip with my mom, my sister, and my 21 year old niece. They are calling it a 'girl's weekend.' They headed off to the Ozarks which is about 3 or so hours away. She will be back Sunday sometime. I am calling it a bachelor weekend. I hope she has a great time and I know she will. I will probably spend some time playing my guitar and of course doing my own thing while I can. I will make sure the house is clean before she gets home. Not because I want her to come home to a clean house necessarily. But if she comes home to a dirty one my next post may be an obituary. Sorry for the click bait. I just could not resist.

I do. My wife actually enjoys my guitar playing, although when I get into it she sometimes hates the time I spend doing it. But I don't get to play as often as I like. Always something needing done.

Yeah. Even looking back on this one, I was amazed by two things. How many responses to this one I actually got, and how many I forgot to respond to. How rude of me. Working on fixing that as we speak because as I have posted in the past, I eventually do get to ALL of them. This one just took me two years.

Right now the Ozarks would be abysmally cold. But then this was August, two years ago that I posted this. Not sure why I bother to make sure I check old posts to make sure I responded properly to all of them. Just a thing I do I guess. But I do remember she had a good time, and I had some peace and quiet. It was nice if I remember it right. lol

I just pulled my heart out of my stomach and believed you, at first! Thank God, your wife is just spending some quality time with your mother, sister, and niece:) We have set up cameras in all the rooms before hand, to make sure that house is kept in order! lol My daughter-in-law did the exact same thing with her mother. She might bump into your wife, somewhere in Kentucky!
