Big holiday weekend coming up in the US

Labor Day is being celebrated this weekend. Most around here do not look at it as honoring workers and unions. They only look for an excuse for a barbecue.
I need a few groceries, so I think I will shop now.
Tomorrow the plumber will be back to do some other work, and all the crazies will be shopping.
I will be back to the site to Lot some more tonight. Need to end the month with a little push.

I have nothing for a bbq, so if he wants bbq meat he will buy it, I take the bbq veggies. Maybe a drumstick.

We will probably not barbecue, although I do have some cheddar brats. I am cleaning and organizing the freezers, and I found a big eye of round roast that we will cook in the crock pot. Loving veggies with salt and vinegar.

I am pleased to not need anything from the stores, and I have a nice big yard to relax in if I choose. Here at myLot I have already reached my average.

People have all summer to bbq, so they shouldn't need a holiday like 4th of july or labor day for an excuse, though i know many who use them as one.

I notice that is true in many countries. I think we try to have lots of holidays to teach history and to break up the routine.

We have our Independence Day on September 18. Some people are already hoarding meat for a barbecue as the meat prices go up on those days.

I may be here all weekend if myLot remains the only site I can get on, lol. Steeling myself to make the call to ATT tomorrow. I've tried anticipating all their questions. I sure hope you are starting to feel better and all well for the weekend.

Hubby is kind of down. He feels like things just kip knocking him off his feet. I just have the cold/sinus/allergy symptom . I may start some kind of an allergy routine to see if that fixes it.
