110 LPs so far and counting

I was a long playing (LP) record buyer as a young man, Sinatra and Nat "King" Cole were among my first purchases. Then, when I was in the army for two years, I met Mercer, a guy who later became a pretty big time record executive with Fantasy Records. We were in the Fort Ord Soldiers' Chorus together and have remained friends ever since.
Fantasy Records had some artists like Credence Clearwater amd also owned the Prestige jazz Milestone blues labels. So, in the 60's, they remastered many of the great older blues and jazz records and re-issued them as double albums with great liner notes by top music writers of the time.
So, when these repackaged albums were released I would get a box of twelve or fifteen records at a time. I kept them, moved many times with all of them too. I never counted them all, but so far I have catalogued 110 of to maybe 300 albums.
There are ways to value them online based on sales and I will be listing some, but not all for sale soon. They are well taken care of and it has been fun going through them so far, though time consuming over the weekend. So far, there are 30 of those double albums and at least a dozen Sinatra records in the mix, with many more to go.
I guess I must be a record collector!

I love Nat King Cole's voice. His daughter too. Frank isn't bad either. You have quite a collection.

@JamesHxstatic ......I'm sure you've heard that one where they sing together. Wonderful bit of technology.

Many that were given to me free and some I bought for $5 are now worth $20, so I will put in the time to figure it out.
