Making a Day Trip

We are going to Oklahoma, but just for a long day tomorrow.
Due to hubby being in some difficult health circumstances we have not been to see my dad in two months and that bothers me.
I am taking off work next Monday to take my sister to an out of town appointment.
So that makes a three day weekend.
I will be here either very little or not at all tomorrow.
Wish us well. I will check in when I come back. We will travel light and not take computers or luggage or anything except our wonderful selves.

I was glad to get to see my dad. His memory seems pretty okay, but he is sleeping more. He has had some serious issues lately.

It is good to get away. I enjoy time talking to hubby. It helps my brother when I can come be with dad.

That nice quiet time in a car where you can have a conversation knowing no one will knock on the door to disturb you @GardenGerty I was gonna say no one can call ya but these days them thar cell phones can get in the way of that

Okay, have a safe trip. Check to make sure your tires are well inflated and that you have a spare. Just saying.

My husband is very responsible with cars. Yes, well inflated tires make for better fuel mileage.

@GardenGerty . Reason I mentioned this, is because a friend of mine set out to drive all the way from Texas to Up State New York and ended up with a flat. I have a tendency to not want to even look because 9 times out of 10 I will likely discover a nail.
