Plans Have Changed

Notifications are finished for the time being. My plan was to get to work on my book this afternoon. It's not going to happen.
I came back to the computer to finish up the notifications about an hour ago, but in that hour, my back has told me in no uncertain terms, it's not going to tolerate this chair. So, it's back to the recliner for me.
I'll watch another session for the small group study I'm going to do, then find a movie or something to watch.
How is your day going? Thanks for reading.

@TishaMears Tell this to my parents. They don’t seem to know the word relax.

@flapiz Sometimes is ok to have a "lazy" day.

@flapiz Sounds like your parents are definitely from the old school. There are many who don't know that it's ok to relax otherwise you will stress out until you crash. And crashing is definitely not healthy either. Pacing yourself is best and everyone has a different pace. Tell your parents the story of the rabbit and the tortoise. Maybe they'll understand a little from that. Or maybe not. lol.

@bluesa I agree. There never seems to be enough hours to get things done

@just4him Glad your back is better. Even though I'm still having issues with mine, I still was able to do something today as I said I would do with my October 30day challenge.

@just4him That's good. I'm pacing myself too - a tiny bit of gardening, a bit of housework, a bit of computer work - I don't want my back to play up while I'm on my own but of course you're always on your own aren't you? With Vince being away, I'm more appreciative of how hard it can be to be on your own.

See if a nice heat pad would move the hurt out of the back or a warmish shower and then a heat pad on the back.
Even so I would take it as easy as you can although I have been on the move till now also.

That´s a good one to have too.
Nothing like a good hot water bottle to move really bad pain.

I've been hanging out mostly in bed with my feet elevated. I had another Unna Boot put on yesterday and I'm trying to keep it on until later tomorrow. The difficulty I have with it is walking. I'm using two canes to keep me stable but I can't walk on my heal. I'm using the ball of my left foot and most of my weight is on the right.
The last time I had this on my wound it went down in size a lot. If this doesn't help it heal I'll be going to the wound center.
Enjoy your movies. I finished last year of Grey's anatomy and began rewatching Continuum which was a short four year series done in 2012.
You don't have a tablet or phone you can use for notifications from the comfort of your recliner so you can write your book when planned? That would help you rest your back. I wonder whether older models are sold on Amazon at all?

@just4him the trouble with the wound on my leg has been ongoing. It's not something new.
I don't understand your first paragraph. Do you use your Chromebook for your writing and your desktop for everything else? Is there not enough space on the Chromebook to mylot too?
I'm guessing that's what you mean?

@just4him well then you should mainly use the computer when working on your book just in case your back gets sore and do your notifications from the comfort of your recliner instead.

I would need to purchase a new Microsoft Office for the Chromebook I use so it wouldn't take it out of the format.
I loved Continuum and have seen the series twice. I was thinking about watching it again.
I'm sorry you're having trouble with your leg again and hope the Unna Boot works.

@just4him That's wonderful. My daughter in law fell down her mothers steps and hurt her shoulder and tore a muscle in her hip. Her doctor gave her two injections of cortizone. He told her it would heal but it will take time and she's in a lot of pain.

It doesn't matter where I go to sit. Due to my back issues, I can't sit up too long on my laptop no matter how hard I try. When I do, I get up in alot of pain. I put more pillows in the bed and everything. But I keep on trying. I totally understand how plans can change

Hope your back feels better. I also need to change position if I sit too long at my PC. Hope you have a great night.

. Maybe you should change the chair?
Here we have a gray and rainy morning, I hope it gets better in the afternoon.
