Another harvest in Northern California!

I know it's November 10, but I was able to harvest some snow peas from my "balcony garden" today. Snow peas can last all Winter in Coastal California, and I'm happy that I was able to have a harvest day today. Do you have stuff growing right now?

@thehorse The 30 garlic cloves I planted have poked their noses out of the soil. Any more news out of Paradise?

My friend lost everything. They don't even know if my girlfriend (their horse) is alive.

We've been waiting to hear about your friend from Paradise. Reading through the comments and having checked the news reports my heart goes out to your friends. We hope that your "girl friend" survived, or if she didn't that she didn't suffer,

@Morleyhunt I spoke with Howie's girlfriend tonight, and she thinks that my girlfriend may have survived.

I am going to call Howie now. I hope they opened the gate, and that she used her "horse sense" to survive.

I don't grow things anymore. My daughter has lavender and sage growing. Those are very hardy.

Sorry to hear about your friend (in the comments) but a little bit relieved that the girlfriend has turned out to be a mare. I thought you were a bit laid-back about it.

Oh, I am completely heterosexual. I date only mares. But maybe I suffer from some gender identity confusion, as I am part mare as well.

Interesting. I usually eat them in Chinese food. I haven't looked for them at my local grocery stores.

I don't, but when I used to have my tomatoes in a townhouse yard, protected by a fence, I was getting a few until Dec. 1, strange, but true!
