This could be a major event. It's raining in the San Francisco Bay Area. It had not rained in months until last night. Hopefully this will suppress the on-going wildfires and clear the air a bit.
The rain is still coming down, albeit lightly. I am going to turn my music off and enjoy the sound of the rain. We had a power outage this morning, but things are back to normal now. I hope it does not flood in Paradise CA.

I love the rain as well since it helps the grass get some needed water.

Sounds like a good thing if it can help in putting out the fires. Enjoy!

@TheHorse I love the rain! Do you have a favorite rain song? This is my all time favorite or the only one that I can remember with my poor memory.

Lucky you! We will get some showers tonight supposedly - and maybe tomorrow . . . but we shall see. But it won't be good for those fire areas - here we go with the land/mudslides now - why of all times does it decide to rain now? Oh, so sad in Paradise.

@playertwo There is either too much rain in some places or not enough (like ours!).

@TheHorse We did get that rain (I missed it - it happened overnight) - and luckily it was light (our yard dirt was not muddy - still compact). Just enough for now - yah, the fire areas have had enough - hope the rains will come this way slow and steady the rest of the season!

It's a bleak grey day here with just a little blue peeking through. I enjoy the sound of rain too.

I hope that the stories of mudslides in the Camp Fire will not happen due to the rain this weekend either.

Yes, it can be nice to listen to a gentle rain when you're sheltered from it.
Too bad it didn't come sooner and spare Holly's home.

Our news said you were supposed to get rain, glad that you are finally. I know they did say they are worried about mud slides with that in some areas that were burned. Hoping that doesnt happen.

Hopefully the rain will be long enough and strong enough to help with the fire situation.

Wonderful news. I too hope it will provide much needed relief to the wildfire areas.
