There's No Tree

I decided to get the tree out of the closet and put it up. There's no tree. I had to think about what I did with it and why.
Last year when I took the tree down, there was only one-third of the lights lit on it, so when I took it down, I boxed it up and took it to the dumpster. I need to buy a new tree. That won't happen until next week, and with the limited space I have, I'm going to look for a table top tree. Now, I don't need to move the clock, which I couldn't figure out where I would move it to anyway.
Today has been a good day. I took my nap this morning and slept a lot longer than I expected. Definitely needed the sleep. When I got up, I got right to work on New Horizons and put up over a thousand words today. There's one day left of the challenge and I'm sitting close to 60K words, so that will be my goal tomorrow.
Right now, I'm going to try to get as many notifications as I can get to tonight. I did some this morning.
It snowed a little more before I took my nap, but it hasn't been snowing since. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, and Saturday is rain, and Sunday is a nasty mix. That's the weekend outlook from here.
I have over 200 notifications again and two days behind, so I'm going to cut those down as much as I can before I go to bed.

No tree for us either even though we do celebrate Christmas. We just haven't had one in like 8 years for one reason or another. At this point there isn't any room for one in our front room. That is a shame because I really do like seeing it with all of the lights and ornaments on it.

Taking out the tree out of closet and setting it up is our plan for weekend. I hope the tree comes out fine. Last year the stand at the bottom was wobbly and we had to put some cardboard below to balance it. I am not planning to buy a new one and so will do some trick to balance it this time too.

@just4him I just took out the box from the closet. I have to open and fix and decorate. That is the task for today evening. Hope it is working.

I'm glad it's been a good day. I'm sorry you realized you tossed the tree, but as you said, you don't have to worry about where to put the clock now. I see you posted about your new tree so I'm going to look at it now. And you're doing great with your book!

My tree went bye-bye after the cat knocked it over enough times that the top was permanently bent. I just use a manger scene to decorate, because I'm hardly ever home and the school and church have trees, so I can enjoy them.
