It's time to do some painting

Yesterday we had to go to the Lions Hearing Aid Centre for a check-up with our aids. They adjusted Vince’s a little and he will pay $60 extra for a remote control which will mean music will not be so distorted. This is important to him as he loves his music.
I had two gift cards from survey sites for Bunnings, our local and large hardware store so we went there next and bought some paint. The spare bedrooms are looking very dated so one will be painted within the next day or two. There is a little bit of repair work to be done first.
Luckily the pressure is on to do it as soon as possible because we’ll have musicians using the room on the 19th January, the date of our next concert. We’ve chosen a light grey with a darker tone to try to cover the one darker wall. Maybe I’ll put up an ‘after’ photo when we’ve finished.
Now I’m off to dust off the paint brushes and rollers. We didn’t buy new ones so I hope the old ones are serviceable.

Whenever I finally get around to it I plan to paint my dining room a light gray color.
I can understand your husband getting the remote so he can hear music more clearly. With you putting on the concerts I am sure you both enjoy music a lot and want to hear it how it actually sounds nice and clear.

The last couple of times we've hired sound systems Vince has had a lot of trouble trying to adjust it to suit everyone. Hopefully that problem won't be so evident now. He tends to listen to the music but not to the words which doesn't help either.

We got a professional in to do the kitchen, lounge and passage as there was a lot of work in it but the bedrooms we can manage on our own.

Guests do induce pressure Our dining table gets a make over with all clutter removed whenever we expect guests.

I sometimes set the timer on five minutes and tackle the dining table. We always seem to have paperwork everywhere as well as general clutter.

We should be right with the weather this time. The only possibility is a thunderstorm but that is pretty unlikely. We decided to paint both spare rooms but we're doing them in the same colour. It should save us money that way. Paint is surprisingly expensive - 4 litres is $54, 2 litres $37 and 1 litre $34 - go figure. We're hoping two 4 litres tins will do the walls and hopefully a 2 litre will give us a feature wall in each room.

I work best under pressure. Having to have it done for guests is good pressure. I always enjoyed hosting musicians.

It isn't really very hard to paint the walls of a room and we've had a lot of practice now.

No, the time will go quickly. We don't want there to be any paint odours lingering by the 19th.

I'll post another photo when it's finished. It will be fresh and clean at least.
