Did you read about the eerie blue glow over New York City a week or two ago?

I captured this picture from MSM. Apparently a transformer of some sort blew near New York City, and a blue glow hung in the sky for several seconds or minutes. I've seen the Northern Lights, and it's a life-changing experience. I don't know whether New Yorkers ever get to see them, but the experience of the eerie blue lights must have been...I dunno...scary...or very cool. Um...how would you have reacted?

My son and family thought it was exciting and beautiful to look at. They knew they weren't being attacked.

Did they tell you how long it lasted? My hunch is that my NY relatives were looking at their computer screens at the time. Feh.

Did you get to see the launch? I always wonder if we can see Vandenberg launches from up here in the Bay Area. We could from Santa Barbara.

Pretty, but probably a bit weird if one was experiencing it live.

I hope to see them again I always check the night skies when I'm up North, in Montana. It's been years since I've seen them.

It was a human-induced event. So not quite like the Northern Lights.

I seen it on our news. It was very pretty. But some of the peoples thoughts that they talked to after were really out there.

Apparently, it was some kind of electrical power transformer (or something) that blew. It kept arcing (if that's the right word), so blue light was seen in the sky for quite awhile. I would have found it "cool," so long as my neural circuits were not being fried.

TORNADO!!!!! That's the "glow" they get when a tornado hits a transformer. People in the trailer park would've said, "I see'd it, it wuz a flyin' saucer!"

I remember seeing the southern lights once down near Ravensthorpe. It rarely happens that far north so we were very privileged.

I wasn't there. I stole the picture from main-stream media (that which Trump calls fake news). Maybe it never happened. But I still think it's cool.

I am not sure what my reaction would have been actually. I mean, if I had not known what was causing the glow I might have some alarm. Either way...not a good thing I would suspect.

Apparently, long-term power outages were avoided. I'd be thinking of the older War of the Worlds.
