My MyLot experiment for this morning.

I decided to see what would happen if I left a lot of comments, both on my own posts and on others', but did not post anything. My tendency is to post something and THEN visit others' posts, and older comments (not yet responded to) on my posts. What I found was that I DID generate some comments, and some earnings, by using this strategy. Do you ever do little "experiments" on MyLot? Do you tend to focus on comments first, posting only now and then?

@spiderdust Lately, I've been feeling like I've posted all I can post about.

I do too. Sometimes it depends on how much time I have to spend online (as well as whether or not I can think of anything vaguely interesting to post).

I don't post that often but read and comment on the post of others. I usually manage to reach the $5 mark but not too much more with that.

@TheHorse I find that if I post too many discussions than this place becomes a job and I'm retired for a reason.

I experiment too but finally get back to my old method as it hardly makes any difference. My method is to attend to notifications, go to top rated and then post a discussion or two

I do "hot," rather than "top rated," for some reason.

I almost never write. I visit the most recent discussions and "I discuss", it works very well for me.

I usually go to the new discussions of those I'm following and then post something. You're supposed to make money by others commenting and responding on your posts. So I can up a new post and get the usual number of likes/responses/comments but unless I'm commenting and responding (which shouldn't earn ME money) the bank hardly moves. It's all too confusing.

No not really but I have gotten a lot of tips on how to help earnings, I post a lot to other people and sometimes make my own.

@TheHorse I've read somewhere here that we don't get paid on our own discussions but on other's actions towards our actions, like they respond, comment on our posts.

@TheHorse I usually read, then do notifications. Then post in that order. But sometimes I do a fast post and run. It just depends on what is going on.

I do notifications first usually. Then I may write a discussion first before reading others' posts and commenting. Or I may do it the other way around if I am not sure what to write about...

Mostly, I respond to others' discussions and post my own once in a while. My discussion topics do not seem to interest many, but I stick with what I am comfortable with - siva

It's good to stick with what makes you comfortable. I'm often pretty "random."

I always see the notifications first then comment on other people's posts, if I have a good topic in mind, I post. No particular "experiment."

I think we can't earn much by keep posting discussions.. we have to be more active and keep responding to posts that way we can earn more..

On myLot you earn *nothing* for posting or responding to posts. You only earn if other members react to your posts.

Yes, but our posts have to be compelling enough that others respond to them.

I'm not doing experiments, but I think we should. I always clear the notifications first and then maybe I'll post something. Mostly I try to leave as many comments as possible on other people's discussions, but sometimes not everyone is responding to me.

Even I like to post a discussion or two and then visit my follows/follower's discussion and leave a comment. But these days I haven't been able to conjure up an interesting topic for discussion. So, I thought let's just check for some interesting discussions and leave comments.

I don't usually try experimenting....just usually catch up on notifications, post my own thing if I have something to post, and then comment on those I am following's posts
