The Bird Box Challenge

How many of you saw the movie 'The Bird Box' on Netflix? I saw it, and I actually liked it. Spoiler alert!! It was about a woman who was pregnant while some sort of entities ran wild amongst the Earth. These entities would make people kill themselves once they were seen. The only way to stay safe from these entities was to wear a blindfold when you go outside. Now there was one part, where they had to make a supply run. They all wore blindfolds, and relied on GPS to get them to the grocery store. Sounds cheesy, I know, but it really wasn't a terrible movie. The terrible part is, people are actually stupid enough to try to drive wearing blindfolds! WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE???? Are we as a whole really that stupid? Come on people, grow a brain!!!
Viral challenges can be pretty entertaining for people safely watching the mayhem unfold through their phone screens, but it's a risk for the people actually...

Have not seen it and probably won't be seeing it. For me, research (documentaries) and comedy are my choices.

@cindiowens You see insane challenges both on Facebook and YouTube, they do nothing to protect young people to copy those crazy ideas.

@LadyDuck Yes, there was the cinnamon challenge, the Tide Pod challenge and many more. It seems like it may have started with the seemingly innocent "Ice Bucket " challenge.

That part people where not blindfold in the car they covered the windows and used the gps to tell them when they where close to soemthignas they fallowed the GPS to get to the store. You shouldn’t drive blind out anywhere.

Yes, you are right. They didn't put the blindfolds on until they were getting out of the car.

I've never seen the movie, nor am I likely to. Unfortunately stupidity is rife.

People will mimic just about anything. It's better for those with impressionable minds to stay away from such movies, but unfortunately most parent's or even individuals don't know ahead of time what they can absorb without it affecting them. It's best to just stay away as a rule. At first when I read your discussion, I considered watching the movie, but after seeing the video that follows the one in your link I've changed my mind.

That part of the movie was rather hard to watch. When they are in the car and driving the blindfold on. Nerve racking.
