On Thursday, I noticed that my phone LCD screen turned dark. It was unusual that I have noticed it. It has a privacy tempered glass but it was not like that before.
Last night, I opened YouTube to listen to the music using the built-in speaker. The audio was muffled and was too low even I adjusted the volume to its maximum level.
I put on the earphones and the audio was perfectly fine.
I told myself why not put the equipment in the rice. Just the ones I saw on YouTube. So I grabbed the rice container and dipped the speaker. I left it dipped overnight.
The speaker is now working!

@jobelbojel Nice. We can still have a mobile phone and no need to buy a new one.

@Shavkat I was sad that moment when it did not work. I was thinking I will buy a new but not until I can loan. Good thing that won't happen.

I saw it on YouTube or read it somewhere. No, I did not submerge the entire phone. Just the side where the speaker is.

didn't the rice get in through the small port openings?
