I Don't Know What Happened...and It Worked

On Thursday, I noticed that my phone LCD screen turned dark. It was unusual that I have noticed it. It has a privacy tempered glass but it was not like that before. Last night, I opened YouTube to listen to the music using the built-in speaker. The audio was muffled and was too low even I adjusted the volume to its maximum level. I put on the earphones and the audio was perfectly fine. I told myself why not put the equipment in the rice. Just the ones I saw on YouTube. So I grabbed the rice container and dipped the speaker. I left it dipped overnight. The speaker is now working!

Did your phone get wet? The rice is used to remove humidity. May be your phone only needed to be fully recharged.

I hope the rice helped. I would shut my phone down for a while first, then restart it.

Strange, but from where did you get that idea.. didn't the rice get in through the small port openings?

I saw it on YouTube or read it somewhere. No, I did not submerge the entire phone. Just the side where the speaker is.
