I'd Like to Introduce You to Gazpacho

If you are thinking that Gazpacho is a gecko you are correct. He appears to have adopted us. I noticed him several weeks ago on our garage door screen. He has made his home there ever since. He does come and go, some days I look and nope, he isn't around but later he returns. I decided to give him a name, and at first, I thought it would be garbanzo but I decided that Gazpacho was a better name. I am not sure if he will be here next year when we return, I guess we will have to wait and see. For now, I am feeling like we have a pet here in Florida.

They are so cute. I'm watching a family of them now at the shrubs by the pool.

lol I have seen others on our Lanai but Gazpacho seems to have made his home on the screen with occasional visits to the bush near the edge of the garage.

@DianneN I am sure it can't be good, I worry about them getting into the garage and dying.

@BelleStarr They are all over the place. My brother's dog loved chasing them. We have a man here who actually talks to the same one and feeds it. I won't tell you what happened to the little one who made it inside our third floor lanai.

@BelleStarr As long as they keep the fly population down I will let them be.

I don't do lizards at all. They remind me too much of snakes which I hate.

He is so cute, he just hangs around and I call him and ask him where he is when I can't see him, I do hate snakes though.

lol I am a big fan of made-up words and it certainly fits, though I wouldn't hurt him either way. He is harmless.

If they use insecticides to rid your yard of pests then the lizards would die after they'd eat any that were sprayed @BelleStarr

I haven't seen a gecko in quite some time, save for the green Geico gecko on TV haha. I do, however, have two regular lizards that greet me every afternoon when I get home from work, almost like sentries guarding my walkway to my front door.

Please don't take me wrong but he is disgusting. I do not like anything that crawl, I'm afraid (except of the snail) And they are ugly to me because they are slobbery but I'm not afraid of them. His name 'Gazpacho' is....fine
