Maybe I Am Sliding Tonight

Back in 2016 I wrote and recorded a song called "Slide," and while the song had different meaning when I wrote it... All I can think is, here I am once again stuck in a hotel room on business trying to decide what to eat, I have a salt restriction which is always a challenge, and I will no doubt bust my salt intake through the roof since it will likely be Culvers and I MUST have their fried cheese curds which is already 1200 mg and I am only supposed to have 2000 mg per day. I will skip my Reuben which is normally 1800 mg by itself. But even if I have a mushroom and swiss burger, which I just might, that's over 1000 mg. Am I sliding tonight? Hell, yesterday I had a 2/3 lb Monster burger at Hardees with some curly fries and I know THAT put me over the top. Who knows. By the way, here are the lyrics if anyone wants them. I really like your song. It actually reminds me of something out of the psychedelic 60s. Did you try to sell it or promote it. I know it's a hard road to promote yourself.

@porwest That's wonderful! The music business is so competitive, especially if you don't have a big record company promoting you. If you can turn a profit on it, I'd say it's a success.

@norcal For me, I don't classify myself as a musician. Just a guy who in his spare time likes to dabble and doesn't mind sharing for anyone who cares to listen. It's a lot of fun, but definitely not a job or career or anything close to it.

I included it on an album I put out called Pink Flamingoes. On iTunes, Spotify and other places including Amazon Music. The album does okay but it's not making me millions or anything.

I have researched. There is no such thing as "easy on the salt" when it comes to any restaurant. Even a salad has tons of salt. It is frustrating.

Having to restrict salt must be very difficult. Almost worse than limiting sugar intake.

That is definitely another tough one for sure. Sugar and salt are probably two of the hardest things to restrict since they are in practically everything.

Restaurants tend to over salt everything. Makes it very difficult to eat healthy on the road.

Salt restriction is so hard....I have a carb restriction myself, so I understand that it can be challenging eating out! And I like those lyrics, I will have to give it a listen :)
