These are my two cool cats, Darrel and Darrel. They are brothers, and we gave them both the same name because it was so hard to tell them apart from a distance.
Their names are a reference to the characters on the TV show Newhart. Each time they appeared their brother, Larry, would introduce them by saying "Hi, I'm Larry; this is my brother Darrel, and this is my other brother Darrel."
When I got the cats, it was mostly for rodent control. Rats were chewing the wiring in our cars at night. I had four dogs, so I needed cats that could deal with that.
The lady at the local cat rescue helped me pick out these guys, and they have worked out great. They get along fine with the dogs, and they got rid of the rats. They have also become members of the family.
They look like bookends, but they have very different personalities. One of them likes to keep to himself more and spends a lot of time outside. He is quite a hunter, and will often follow along if I take the dogs for a walk. He's the one with the white spot on his chest.
My husband started calling him Pretty Darryl, not so much because of the white, but he was a bit heavier and his coat always looked thick and shiny.
The other one loves attention. He comes into the kitchen meowing for food and attacks my feet when I'm walking. He gets under the sheet when I am trying to make the beds. He wants to get in bed with me and tries to knock my book or my laptop out of my hands. He became affectionately known as Pain in the Ass Darrel.
As time went on, Pretty Darrel lost weight and PIA Darrel gained weight. For the past couple of years we have been calling them Skinny Darrel and Fat Darrel.

They are adorable and I love how you change their names accordingly. I have nicknames for Sid but I only refer to him by them but I do not call him by them or he would not respond. He is always outside so he is the Creature of the Night and when he does things that annoy me he is Lame Brain. Actually, he is a very intelligent cat. In Latvia, the language at home was a combination of Latvian and English so Sid understand words in both languages and he knew every room in our two-story house. Just love my 13-year-old who acts more like a 3-year-old. He sends his sincerest meows to both Darrels.

They are handsome fellows. They used to have a kitty door, so they could come and go as they pleased. Now I am renting, so I can't put in a kitty door. I am at their beck and call letting them in and out the door. You are so lucky to have a bilingual feline, and so polite too.

@norcal I am lucky that here in Florida I can have a window open all the time. I am on the second floor and the window looks over the roof. So Sid can come and go as he pleases. You should see him at this moment he is lying down on the top of the sloping roof watching the lights of the resort across the street.

Do they come when called? I think they are both pretty cats! My friend has a black cat named binx and he is such a cuddler when he wants to be. He usually sleeps beside me when I spend the night at her house. Of course, he waits until I am asleep to come sleep beside me.
Otherwise, if you want him to stay beside you, well, he requires constant attention.

I put both the cats outside my room and close the door when I go to sleep. Otherwise, they both sleep on my feet (which annoys me) and Fat Darrel walks on my face when he wants out.
I usually call "Kitty Kitty" and they both come to that.

We had a trio of siblings, we lost one last fall. The boy and one of the girls looked so much alike that we had to find a way to tell them apart. This wouldn't have been a big problem if they had been friendly, but the trio are/were very feral. Even though they had lived their whole lives in the house, the only one we ever had touched, and even then it was just a few times, was the black girl. The tabby pair we named Elmer and Emily and the black girl we named Elizabeth. Normally with feral cats they "notch" the left ear, we asked the vet to notch Elmer's right ear so we could tell him apart from Emily. We got the names from an episode of The Tomorrow People where Elmer and Emily were siblings and Elizabeth was a regular. From Wikipedia "A Man for Emily" (starring a young Peter Davison) is where we got Elmer and Emily.

@norcal I have had inside feral cats pretty much non-stop since the early 1980's. Some have come around, others have not. I will say that these siblings have been the most feral of the lot. Then again, this is the first time I actually had siblings that stayed - I had some mostly feral kittens, and ended up with the most feral one, but the others found homes without other cats. That is how you "flip" them.

Both cats really do look alike. I remember the Newhart show with Larry, Darrel and Darrel. Love how your cats have interchanged names depending on the adjectives used
