Watched a favorite movie today. Footloose came out on February 17th, 1984 starring Kevin Bacon, one of my favorite actors to this day.
Also, the Kenny Loggins song "Footloose" hit #1 in America on March 31st, 1984. It's the title song to the famous film where Kevin Bacon brings dancing to a small town in the South.
Have you seen the movie, surely you have. What about the song, do you like it? They are both worthy of watching and listening to again.
This is the original music video to footloose , not the party scene from the film or kevin bacon dancing in the warehouse !!

I’ve seen it many many times. It’s one of those movie classics that I will watch. I’ve also seen it on stage last year. My husband took me for a date night away from the kids and it was good different then the movie of course. I really do like and enjoy most of the songs form the movie.

@CarolDM She was dancing sitting down but I could not get a good video. When I got up to get a better angle she stopped.

It's very 80s! Did you see the lame remake?

@CarolDM I know the feeling! It's shocking to realize a movie that seems like yesterday is suddenly decades old. Footloose was only yesterday, right?

I have seen it. I've certainly seen it once, maybe a couple of times. My youngest son was into dancing for a while and I thought he'd enjoy it so I watched it with him. That must have been about 7 or 8 years ago now, I don't think I've watched since. I do love the song, though, and it came on while I was listening to some music yesterday.

@CarolDM I've just started a trial on Amazon Music. They've got various stations as well as albums and artists. I was listening to their '80s station :)
