I love hanging out bed linen and other clothes in the sun. For years I had to hang them in our small side balcony in the shade. In the apartment we could not to hang them up as our balconies faced the road, which was the proper thing to do. However it wasn't as good as drying them out in the sun. This afternoon as I brought down all the bed linen dried in the sun they smelled so good. I just love the smell of clothes dried in the sun. They smell so fresh and exhilarating. Do you like the smell of freshly sun dried bed linen?

@sofssu I love putting on a clean, white shirt that has been dried on the washing line in our garden in the sun and infused with the scents of pine, lavender and rosemary that I grow. My children don’t approve. As @ladyduck says, it brings back memories.

The farm house of my grandmother had a rosemary hedge, the smell was strong in the morning. I also remember her roses, I wonder why the roses do not smell anymore.

Freshly dried clothes in the sun is a wonderful smell. Nothing comes out of a dryer smelling as nice

Yes I hang clothes out in the summer, not right now because the pollen levels are to high and that would make the sheets dirty again.

We don't have a dryer, but my mom sometimes do it. And it is good because we are using the sun rays to dry all clothes!

Our bed linen is sent to the laundry and I like the smell when we get it back all washed and ironed. As kids our clothes were always put out. We did not have washing machines then
