Hey everyone I hope you're doing well! Please know God loves you and works things out for your good. =)
Today we went to look at the house...it wasn't meant to be. So we are back to looking once again. They wanted information that we weren't willing to give like bank statements, all kinds of checks, references, our doctor?!?, our lawyers name? I do not even know.
But all did not end badly!! We have had a small car since November so our whole family couldn't go anywhere all together. Couldn't fit, but of course we were grateful for a vehicle!!
Today...we bought the same vehicle in the image-hopefully images are working now. If not...it seats EIGHT people, has a TV and DVD player in it & back seats fold down into a bed! 
So...we will find the perfect home for us in God's time. For now, we will enjoy our van, family time and going to CHURCH again!!!! =) Our Father is so good!

Too bad about the house but you do have to be careful about the information you give to people. That looks like a great vehicle for your family. I am sure with a bit more time perhaps you'll find an even better home.

Something better is bound to come up 
. That is strange they asked for that much information - I can understand financial stuff - but doctor and laywer 
?? Thank goodness you have a large vehicle for your family - that's a life saver in itself. Well keep on looking - keeping my fingers crossed you all find something soon!!

@LovingMyBabies We've never had a lawyer either . . . Hubby has doctors, but I don't have a regular one. But yah, I don't know why they would need to know any of that. Any leads today?

I know, I did not get that either. We definitely don't have a lawyer and actually we don't have a doctor either! Lol.
Yes, we are so grateful for this vehicle!! It's so big and nice inside for all of us. :)

Most rental places will ask for references and proof of income, but what good would knowing who your doctor is be to them?!?

@Barbaraprz And a lawyer? And someone who will pay rent for us? Not many people have someone who will do it that I know of! Proof of income is one thing like pay stubs or contracts would do for self employment-but bank statements? Too personal I think! Goodness, it was strange.

Pay stubs or contracts in my husband's case as well as references are fine. However, bank statements, lawyers and doctors name-too personal and not ok!

@LovingMyBabies You're right. They shouldn't be asking for the bank statement if they have your paystubs. I live in government housing, so they require a bank statement. You need to be poor enough to qualify for government housing.
