Too much information maybe?

As many of you may know, we take photos at horse endurance rides. This sometimes involves parking at the side of a bush track for some hours.
Of course, there are no toilet facilities in the middle of the bush although there are a number of big trees and thick scrub to hide behind. However, as I get older, it’s harder to squat. Actually, to be honest, it’s easy to squat but difficult to get upright again.
So I’ve bought myself a sheewee which allows me to pee while standing. I’m still at the practising stage but I can tell it’s going to be very suitable for my needs. It would be useful in Asian countries too where there are only squat toilets. Have you seen these before?

I have. I find that funnel way too tiny, so I bought an “oil change” funnel that ensures I’m not missing what I want to urinate into!

I've never seen one before. What a cool device.
When we traveled overseas I often encounted toilets that required squatting.

I am hearing and seeing it for first time.
Even in most of the Asian countries, you will find western toilets getting more popular. In India, most of the houses have western toilets. Squatting has become a big challenge for this generation even at young age.

@JudyEv With passing time, human beings are developing more and more physical limitations. We have less things to do physically now.

I've heard of them but haven't actually seen one. I remember imagining such a device when I was a child. Peeing in the woods was so much easier for my brothers.

Now I'm older it's really difficult getting up from a squatting position.

I have never seen them before, but it sounds like a useful thing. I have used squat toilets in the past. I have never seen them in my own country, but they exist in some European countries.

@JudyEv As we don't really travel outside of the US, I've never encountered a squat toilet - or at least not yet. But looking up images, now I see how this would be quite useful. Yah, I suppose it would take a bit of practice

I've seen these things before, but never have seen one in action.
So those things work great for when you have to pee and don't want to squat, but what happens when you have to go poop? I'd love to see the contraption somebody invents for that! haha

@JudyEv I've never seen one of them contraptions in action before, but I have seen girls pee before. Like when traveling, they'll squat and pee beside the road, or by a tree.

@moffittjc Usually I'd have thought we/they'd try to be discreet about it but I guess sometimes that isn't possible.

I think you handled the topic appropriately. It's not really TMI. Everyone has to go sometime!
The sheewee seems very handee for us girls!

I've never seen one of these, it should be a part of all emergency kits in a womans car. You never know when you'll be stranded and have to pee and like you many of us older folks just can't squat .... maybe I need to invest in a skirt as well, right now I only have jeans.
