I just read that you can use potato peels to fry them and eat them or to bake them. I´d like to try them. Have you had them?

@marguicha mostly with the potato but I have had just the skins in a restaurant where they load it with cheese and bacon.

WE should eat them more often instead of throwing them.

I used to always eat the peel on my baked potatoes. I've never tried to eat them in any other way.

@marguicha You probably can. What you can't do is eat them raw or if they have green spots.

@marguicha I like newer potatoes with skins that are smooth like red potatoes or Yukon gold, not rough skins though they also fry up well, it is just a personal preference

Potato skins are good, they are not fried. You cut a potato in half, remove the inside only leaving a "thick" skin, dress with cheddar cheese, green onion and bacon if you like and bake in hot oven.

I´ll do exactly that. I can always use the inside. I´d put inside mozarela and some blue cheese.

They are delicious. I also leave some of the peeling on my potatoes when making mashed potatoes. The more vitamins the better.

@marguicha I never waste time peeling potatoes - I always cook them unpeeled and eat the lot.

I have had them roasted or kind of like chips before. It is really good. Of course the peels are always left one when we do baked potatoes, they are amazing!
