Going to New York City, New Jersey, and Back to New York City Today

Why the running around?
We have to meet our son and grandson at their co-op in Manhattan and drive with them to New Jersey. Our grandson has a playoff game as goalie for one of his ice hockey teams. He is on two teams.
After the game, we will drive back to Manhattan to celebrate our Ice Princess’s 11th birthday. She can’t go to the ice hockey game, because a party is being thrown for her at her religious school, and she certainly doesn’t want to miss that.
We will join her and her family at her favorite restaurant for dinner. We can’t wait to see them all!
Then we will return to Connecticut. Our younger son will babysit Doodles until our return. It’s going to be a long day, but a very happy one for us.

Oh, you lucky grandma, that is the best kind of tired, I don't ever care how exhausted I get when it involves seeing and being with the grandkids. Have a fabulous day, a delicious dinner and a safe ride.

Sounds like you are back where you should be with your family and being with them. Too bad your younger son could not go too. I understand someone has to stay with Doodles. Poor Doodles he can enjoy all the fun too. I am sure Sophie would feel the same way.

@DianneN I used to work in Jersey City for about a year. We went all around NYC every day. It was always a blast!
