We finally won a game!

Tonight, I played softball for a team that is usually pretty good. If you're Indian, I'd like to know if there are "City Leagues" there where amateurs play cricket, have a good time, drink beer or tea with their buddies, and form friendships. Same for soccer (football) in Europe, Latin America, etc. Anyway, my softball team has won several championships over the past 20 years, But we started this season 0-2, meaning that we had not won a game yet! Tonight, we played a team that was in first place and had destroyed one opponent something like 42-5. We were wondering if we would start the season 0-3. We were down 3-1 after one inning, but got patient, took some "walks," got some timely hitting, and defeated the first place team 20-5. Our pitcher did a great job of keeping the ball "inside" where the other team could not extend their arms and drive the ball far. I'll attach a photo of one of our recent Championship photos. Your job is to find me, The Horse. Have you ever played competitive sports? Its been a part of most of my life, but I admit that as I get older, I care more about music than sports. So it goes.

Third from right, front row. We have lots of competitive sport in our state. Virtually every town, even our small town, has teams of this, that and other.

Yep, that's me. Are rugby and Australian football big there? Wait, cricket is too, isn't it? And even basketball!

@JudyEv I've gotten away from American football as more and more players seem to be barbarians off the field.

@TheHorse It seems every sport is big here - but not gridiron or ice hockey (although they do play it).

Not a sports fan. I enjoy horse racing and that's as close as I get to sports. I think I see you but am not sure. Congratulations on the win.

I'm not sure. I'll never be as good a softball player as I was when I was 30, but I still enjoy it. I like music much better now, though.

@didinedhia How are things in Algeria? I was reading up on Albert Camus yesterday and believe he grew up in a French family in Algeria. Does that sound right?

@sophie09 We wound up wining the post-season tournament. I don't think we lost any more games after starting the season 0-2.

I have always watched sports thanks to my Pop Pop dad and uncle watching. When I was a teen I played on the church's softball team a couple of summers before going to college. That is the most competitive sports I have played in my life. Unless you count when Mike and I played tennis after we were first married. I am guessing back row second one on the left????

No, similar hat, but different guy. If you're still married, then tennis has been good for you. River rafting was a "sport" that tested a relationship I was in.
