Oh my gosh, I made my tertiary goal for June 2019!

Due to the incredible response to my most recent posts, I have made my secondary and tertiary goals for MyLot this month. I have to decide whether to update the delivery date for MyLot Porsche, which is currently set at June 2717. The only question remaining is: What is the word for fourth goal? Tertiary rolls off of my tongue, and my fingers, like water. But I never learned the term for "fourth goal." Perhaps @Maluse can help. I'm off to the pool to swim and get some exercise. I did get out today, but I haven't cycled or swam yet. Did you do something to keep your body fit today? I recently read that literally 3/4 of American humans in the US cannot do ONE push-up. The Humanity!

@TheHorse That's not what I mean. What I mean is that I don't want to be mentioned in your posts as Mrs Know-All. Your goals don't interest me the least bit. All the talk on the site about goals is so very American! You don't realise it but I and other Europeans do.

@MALUSE I was earnest in asking you for help on that one. But someone else came through. My hunch is that most Europeans catch my irony when I talk about earnings.

I don't think it's funny that so few Americans can do ONE pushup. I read a rather long article about how doctors, nutritionists and others overuse BMI (I believe it stands for Body Mass Index) as a measure of health and predictor of longevity. They suggest (with tongue only partially in cheek) that number of push-ups a person can do may be be a better indicator of health and longevity than BMI.

Glad you made your goal. Does trimming weeds count as exercise? I did more than my share today if it does. Why would you want to do a push up?

That's great that you made your goal! I didn't quite make mine this month. I guess today I walked about 2 miles, which I don't normally do. I can do a few push ups.

A pool would be nice. Of course I have the whole fjord, but it's probably about 7 degrees in the water so swimming won't be part of the fitness plans for a few months yet. Some times it's OK in August. I think I can do more than one normal push-up. I usually do the easier ones, using the door frame, but I'm going to advance soon. Today I will go for a walk and then do some weight lifting I think. I have considered running the stairs as it's too wet outisde, but not sure yet.

@TheHorse I've got 7 flights of stairs and they're quite hard, they're worse than other stairs I know. It's also drier than outside. This is the summer when everyone is going to get tired of people from my region talking about rain.

What are you going to go for? I'd like an Eichler home, but my date of purchase (approximately 2100) might make me unable to play my guitar well in the slightly arched living room.

At work, we have an employee fitness program where we can earn cash bonuses each year for achieving levels of fitness based on our age. One of the requirements during the physical fitness test is pushups. For my age category, I am required to complete 19 pushups in order to pass that one physical test. 19 pushups! I can do that in my sleep. I guess they have really dumbed down the requirements these days, probably because everyone is so sedentary in their lives.

I'm not sure what you are talking about (tertiary goals) and "fourth goal" I might have to look it up to see what you are saying. Living in Canada for 40 some years I have lost a lot of US words and attitudes.. A YMCA grew up near our house (7 years ago) and both of us go daily for exercise. He goes on the weekend too but I am a Monday to Friday woman...

Yes I pushed mowed about 1/2 acre. Up and down the steps. 2 laps around the field = 8 city blocks, hen unloaded branches. I have not did push ips in a while, I should see how many I can do. I think I am fit for my age.
