Time to check in and then must feed the dogs.

They keep looking at me and licking their lips. Both are on diets, per our veterinarian, and they don't like it any more than I like being on one.
The writing has gone well. Thus far, I've penned 4,011 words today, bringing my total to 6,063 for the first two days. And the story just got really interesting.
While doing all this writing, I managed to finish cleaning the house and watch Team USA pull out a squeaker of a victory over an excellent and aggressive English team. My frustration with VAR also grew several degrees. Not so much for the calls, but for the delays it causes. Tomorrow Norway plays Sweden. Go Norway.
I may or may not do some more writing before calling it a night. Depends on what time the missus gets home and we have supper. For now, I'm going to clear my notifications and then go chill in front of the TV for a bit.

We watched the tennis at Wimbledon last night. There are some Aussies playing and one of them, a younger, highly- talented but really obnoxious player, got thoroughly beaten, which pleased me. I doubt it will change his attitude though.

I'm used to being busy teaching all day. Summer gives me a chance to write. My wife likes that it gives me a chance to be a house husband.
I told her I'd be glad to quit my job and be a full-time house husband who writes, or a full-time writer who also does housework, her choice.

Sounds like a very productive day! Makes me want to get to writing my comic book scripts. I am so excited to get started on those.

It sounds like you've been more productive than I have been. I spent two and a half hours waiting at the DMV for my daughter. Dropped off a couple of costumes at a theatre in town. Did a couple of loads of laundry and made dinner for my family.
