There is no way I could eat the amount of food the nutritionist wants me to eat.

I have been reading the diet and pondering if the nutritionist was wrong all day.
Half an hour ago, Alejandra called me. She had the opposite problem. The nutritionist had given her no dinner at all while I had such an amount that it could serve as my last meal.
Although I will use common sense and decide what I accept and what I don´t, it is clear that I have to eat more times (snacks and all that) although not the quantity she wants me to eat. And I will walk away the food I eat, I hope.
How do you go with your diets?

I think that she might not have believed how little I eat or how sedentary I am. I will stop eating some of the food that are not good (such as fried food) and will eat little several times a day. But I will not eat 2 cups of rice or pasta at night. She is nuts.

She asked me a lot of questions. But we got in together with my friend (the doctor said it did not matter) and Alejandra is obese and diabetic. I am not diabetic and somewhat overweight.

@LadyDuck I will follow my common sense. I´ll try to walk more ( start walking again, in fact) and eat a little several times each day. But I will not stuff myself with food.

@marguicha There are so many questions to ask before suggesting a diet. I know that I have a pretty long list of foods that I cannot eat. I could not eat pasta and rice twice a day, I have problems with both.

I don’t site but we do portion control. A lot of our food is gluten free which can be some what more farting which is fine since 3 of us have fast metabolism in my house.

I have been controlling portions by myself for some time, but need to do some exercise. At least walking.

@ShyBear88 If I try to walk 10 blocks a day, it will do a big difference.

What kinds of foods is she suggesting you eat? Do you think perhaps she gave you the wrong diet plan? Maybe she meant that one for another patient?
Or do you think she might have thought you were more active than you are?

Probably she thought I was more active than what I am. But there are other explanations too. She might have not believed what I told her about what I ate as I am overweighed. But I put on weight in almost 10 years of next to nothing exercise.

@marguicha Oh I see. Well you will just have to fit the diet to what you know will work for you. Will you be following the diet even while in Aruba?

@marguicha Vacationing is for letting go and eating foods you normally wouldn't. I hope you enjoy yourselves. It won't be until September?

I will eat more times a day, as the doctor said, but I will not eat as much.

@marguicha That is good that you follow the advice of the doctor.

Mostly I do not diet. I try to eat bread only once a day. We do not eat pasta here and I eat less rice. I try to eat more vegetables and more fruits with no sweetener. I eat eggs, often I poach them instead of frying.

I will eat my eggs poached or hard boiled instead of fried. I already eat very little pasta or rice.

I do not diet I just eat as much as I can. I really don't eat much. I had a slice of my leftover meatloaf with a bit of mashed potatoes and spinach heated up today and late when I wanted something more I had two biscuits with gravy. That is it and I do not feel hungry.

I can eat that and not feel hungry either. I am going to walk now as a way of shedding weight.

Not all they asked us to eat is right and I don't really follow mostly when it comes to that.

As far as diets, I tried a low carb one, and it had it's benefits but I also had some issues with it.
Presently, I am on a see food diet, meaning if I see food, I usually eat it, whether it's necessarily good for me or not.
