Laundry and a Movie

I was going to write a post that I wouldn't be here this morning, but I didn't know what to write as I really didn't have anything to post about. However, now that I'm home, I can post about my morning. I had a small load of laundry. Summer is so good for reducing the size of my laundry. Okay, I found something good about summer. I was actually later leaving this morning than I planned. It was all good though. I hung out with my younger son and saw a movie I thought about watching on Netflix. We saw it together. If anyone is a fan of the Witch Mountain movies, this new one, Race to Witch Mountain is as good as the first two. The two original actors for the first two movies have cameo parts in it which makes it more engaging and fun. Two kids, a cab driver, a dog, a cameo by Cheech Marin, and an alien convention in Las Vegas and you have the makings of a good movie. Oh, and yeah, you need a woman expert in the field of aliens. Don't forget the bad guys, the government who are hunting them and throw in an alien bad guy also hunting them. The cab driver has trouble of his own with the Las Vegas Crime boss. So, how does it all work together? Tune into Netflix and watch. I think you'll enjoy this fun action-packed sci-fy from Disney. With the laundry finished, I headed over to my older son's to surprise him for his birthday. The surprise was on me. He wasn't home. I left his birthday present at his door. I did get a call soon after I got home letting me know he was working today and was on his way home. I'm expecting him to call back. At least I hope he does. My younger son informed me he has next Friday off and suggested he would like to spend it with me for my birthday. He didn't even know when it was. I let him guess and that's when he told me he has off that day. It looks like I have a full Friday next week. I don't know how much time I'll be hanging out here. The church is also having a bowling party I intend to participate in. I haven't bowled in many years, so it should be fun. Right now, I'm enjoying a nice thick juicy steak in honor of my son's birthday and a baked potato. I also have creamy cucumber salad in the fridge and triple berry blend thawed. That was my morning.
