I was thrilled to pull out a card with a postcard from @Gillygirl for my birthday. She should be getting the one I sent her soon, though I don't think she's home from vacation yet.
It arrived yesterday, but I always check the mail in the morning when I come in the building.
It's always fun receiving mail from my friends here.
Today has been a good day. I got at least half the notifications finished. I'm getting off the computer for now and will watch a little TV before coming back here to work on a book. I also need to eat something.

@thelme55 Thank you. Right now, I know I'm spending time with my younger son and going bowling with the church bowling night. I'm planning to go to one of the parks here and enjoy a ride on the new Ferris Wheel. We'll see what else I do on Friday.

My Sunday was not good. I was told that we were not going to have electricity and we turned out having it and the modem did not work and found out today that cord was on the floor and now it is fine and I have a new filter so I am back now.

Gillygirl is so wonderful. I m glad you got a post card from her for your birthday. I have been here off and on all day. I worked on the yard in the next complex. The sprinklers are not coming on over there and the grass is or should I say brown.

@just4him Unfortunately I can't do anything with the sprinklers cause the water is turned off there for some reason. I am noticing many other areas in the complex that needs watered real bad. They don't stop and think about how much it will cost them if they have to replace that grass.

beautiful card 'n most thoughtful, too :) spent a large portion 'f my sunday tryin' to get critter pics. mr. squirrel'd an awful day tryin' to get a meal. some 'f which 'twas his own fault, lol.

Sunday was good. The guest speaker at our church was really good. I didn't play my clarinet just to see how everything will flow without our preacher. Next Sunday I will play. I hope the next guest speaker will be good.

It was a quiet Sunday, went to church and then drove to my daughter's house. That was it for me. How fun to receive a postcard from England.
