Where Did This Day Go

I got up at my usual time, 2:20 AM. I spent two hours at the Y, then grocery shopping for my weekly shopping, breakfast, and started myLotting. Then I started dozing and knew a nap was in order. Two hours later and I'm on the phone with a friend who called while I was sleeping to answer and suggest regarding her book. Lunch, my friend down the hall stops by and we chat for another hour and it's 12 hours later.
I also sent seven blog posts to a fellow writer in charge of the Writer's Guild website for the writing tips I started sending him a week ago. I almost forgot about them. So, that is finished for a few days. I hope to get more to him tomorrow until they are all sent to him.
Have you had days that just seem to disappear in the blink of an eye? Three in the afternoon and I feel like I haven't done anything.
I don't know how much I will accomplish today. My goal was to get caught up with the notifications. If I hadn't needed a nap, I might have succeeded. However, I have 250 notifications now, up 20 since I took my nap.
Now, time to interact with you.
Oh, the good news is I heard from my publisher. The news isn't good. She told me several book projects are behind and she had to find a new cover designer for my book. So, I don't know when my book will be available. She's still working on the edit for mine.
At least I heard from her and I know work is progressing.

Some days do happen like that! And sorry to hear about the news not being so good about your book....but that is good that you finally heard from her and that work is progressing

I looked at the time just now and it's another hour that disappeared in a flash. I'm sorry it's going by fast for you too. It would be nice to take time out and enjoy the moment instead of seeing it vanish away.

i'm still wonderin' what happened to the entire year?? 'tis a bummer 'bout'cher book, but nice she contacted ya 'bout such. used to take 6 months to a year 'fore such 'twas put to print.

@just4him i'd a real good relationship with my editor'n the publisher back'n the day. they nearly drove me a tad o'er the edge with weekly phone conferences, lol.

I sent her an e-mail because it's been forever since I had an update from her. I asked about the normal process. She had told me the book would be out in the fall. Now with delays on other projects, I don't know when it will be out. At least I know. I hate not knowing.
She told me the normal process is 18 months start to finish. It won't take that long. We've been working on it since November. That's when I contracted, I think. Time has gone too fast. Anyway, I heard from her and I'm happy.

@crazyhorseladycx You would think so. What I wish is that she would keep me updated on a more regular basis. I guess it's my control nature.

I have a lot of days like that, things have been crazy busy around here, and running to appointments, I don't feel like I accomplish much else.
So sorry about the delay on your book, I hope it all works out for you .How long does it take to get the cover done?
