More Fresh Garden Tomatoes

Had a knock on my door earlier today. My sweet neighbor brought more tomatoes from his garden. They are so big, one slice fits the piece of bread. I didn't tell him we still had a couple from his last visit. Just had a tomato sandwich and oh my goodness was it good.
My dinner will be tomato sandwiches and salads for awhile. But I am not complaining at all. Love these fresh tomatoes. I might have to make some homemade tomato sauce or tomato gravy.
We used to eat grits or rice with tomato gravy growing up. Another great memory. I also remember my Mother making brown tomato gravy. Just like regular brown gravy but with tomatoes. It was delicious over grits or rice or biscuits.
My dinner was early and delicious. I hope the same for you.
And it is storming again, rain, wind, thunder and lightning. But it will problem be gone soon. Enjoy your evening everyone.

@LindaOHio How kind of you. I tried tomatoes once and grew one tomato. Not sure what the difference is. I asked my neighbor to show me how he grows his and he said, if you grow them who will I give mine too!

My aunt has little tomatoes, that grown in her front yard, tons of them. The neighbors come by for them.
One neighbor that moved , comes back a just to get a bag of tomatoes. he eats them on the way home, and then comes back. they are little baby tomatoes, he eats them like candy.

I would love to have that problem. Our season has been really strange so not too many available and my plants are not producing. I am so jealous.

I think we will probably have your storms tomorrow...sadly they won't cool things off for too long. I hope you enjoyed your tomato! I still haven't gotten a plant..I wonder if it is too late to plant them? Probably not.

I'd make some taco salads and pasta salads! Also, I would pour some salt on the tomato and dig in!
