It's not a very popular or common fruit and is available only for a short period in this month. Well the food is a low calorie high fiber fruit. It is packed with iron, vitamin D and is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C. My friend has got two trees in her farm house and so we are lucky to a get it a few times in this month. This fruit is thought to be a booster of your immunity and helps you fight sickness that generally comes during this season. It is supposed to detoxify body and wash away infections from body. My daughter had recently got up from viral infection and so I am giving it to her regularly. We will have it for another few days till it's gone for a year. I had one today for my mid morning snacks.. I like the sweet and sour taste. How about you?? Have you ever tried it? It's quite expensive in market and very rare to find. The photo is of the passion fruits that I have. I have cut one to show the inside juice and seeds. I just ate the cut one

You see the yellow juicy pulp with seeds. You just have to scoop it and eat. It tastes sweet and sour. I like it while many don't. Somewhat like sweet lime except that the seeds make some crunchy sounds if you chew them. They are too small and can be swallowed with the juice.

Even I like the taste. Sweet and sour. And making a juice it more like eating the fruit. You can just scoop and collect and later drink it. Did you add water to it?

I have never tasted it. I love the flowers it produces, they are some of the most complex looking buds I"ve ever seen. My daughter had one growing in her front yard, seems the butterflies love it too, but they lay their eggs there and the caterpillars ended up killing the plant.
