How The Horse avoided arrest today by affecting deep religious faith!

My doctor's appointment was uneventful today. My blood pressure is 138/72 (I don't know what that means), my heart is beating, and my neck pain is muscular, not a sign of an impending stroke. The excitement started after. In addition to bringing tomato, green bean and snow pea seeds to Kaiser, I brought my small shovel. I used said shovel to turn over the remnants of this past Winter's snow peas and to prepare the soil for my nefarious planting. Someone saw me and interpreted the shovel as a weapon. The police were called in. As I planted my snow pea, green bean and cherry tomato seeds, I saw a SWAT team approaching in their armored vehicles. I retreated indoors with a Gatorade container I had found in the back of my truck. I filled up the container and returned to the garden, doing the best I could to water the seeds I had planted with large caliber weapons pointed at me. When the police moved in, I bowed toward the "shrine" that exists in one of the planters I wasn't working in. I don't know who the lady with wings is, but when they realized I was a Man of God, they put their weapons away and let me go. I found my sunflower seeds on the floor next to my computer when I returned home. I'll plant those next time I'm there. I still need to buy more corn seeds. How was your day? Note: Parts of this story are true.

In reality I just did some weeding, turned over the soil, and planted some seeds. I did have my Gatorade container with me, so I watered the soil, but I think it's going to be awhile before anything grows there. I would like to see some corn and sunflowers there, but I just found my sunflower seeds after I got home, and have to buy some new corn seeds.

@VivaLaDani13 Nothing like a little exaggeration to make things fun. I DID have my shovel with me, but nobody cared.

Your blood pressure means you are in a "pre-high blood pressure" ideal should be contained in 120/80, your diastolic (70) is good your Systolic (138) too high, but if your doctor suggested nothing why to bother?

My father has high blood pressure it used to touch 170 +/70 but now he hovers around 150/60 that too after medication. As long as he will not get a stroke, I am good.

@vandana7 This is the problem with high blood pressure, the risk of stroke, my mother had high blood pressure, she had medications to take every day.

Glad they let you be after you prayed Sadly anymore people might report that as a weapon.

Heh. I actually thought of that. But I said "hi" to people as I passed them and didn't aim it toward their heads or anything. Perhaps the Colt .45 on my waistband distracted them. (kidding)

@wolfgirl569 Wait. Do you mean the shovel? Or the prayer? I reckon either could be seen as a weapon.

Vince takes tablets for high blood pressure. The few times I've tested mine it's been normal but I still don't know what 'normal' figures are.

@TheHorse 140/80 means yer blood pressure'd be high fer age. ya might wanna pay a lil closer mind to controllin' such with lifestyle changes 'fore they slap ya'n some pill.

Today my nurse said under 140 and under 80. But hat those two numbers mean is beyond me. And does "appropriate" blood pressure change with age? I dunno.

Pass me the popcorn! Your BP is a little elevated, normal is 120/70 and under. Cut back on salt and you should be good. I had an awesome day!

But I love salt! And I've hear it helps us not get cramps when we do sports. What's a fella to do?

@TheHorse Have a stoke or reduce salt. That is what we have to do. Drink your gatorade the days you do bike and maybe break a sweat.

You can check your blood pressure for your age to see how close or far you are from what is normal. I'm convinced that only the part about the SWAT team is true!
Normal Blood Pressure of Men is usually considered as 120 / 80 . It is not a correct reading for all age groups of men. There is a lot of d...

On Wednesday I avoided being arrested by not saying everything I thought. And not getting a tea on the plane, 'cause I would have spilled it on the person next to me on purpose. That's often a good idea. If I said everything I think all the time, I'm not quite sure what would happen actually. Even with the tiny percentage I reveal to the world, many seem confused. And no, I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with teaching math ;-)

It's too bad you're not in Florida. They have Plow Your Ground laws. They are allowed to carry as many shovels as they want.

As Jerry Jeff sang in Mr. Bojangles, "I drinks a bit." I wonder if I should cut back on that and smoking. And, as Dorie said in FInding Nemo, I'm going to "just keep swimming."

My hunch is that nobody will water out there and that nothing will happen until Fall, when it starts raining again here. I found my sunflower seeds (they fell off my computer) and will plant some next time I go out there, in late Juky.

Sounds like a very exciting day. I will take some of it with a grain of salt, please. My day compared to yours was very uneventful. There is a lovely full moon tonight but as of tomorrow and the rest of the week, the rains are back.
