After lunch out, Claudia and I walked to her house. There was a small store that sold fruits and veggies on the way and I bought some artichokes.
So this is going to be my dinner. Artichokes and some leftover roasted cold chicken.
I´ll have a small dinner and then I´ll watch TV for a while while I knit.
Do you like artichokes? Do you eat them often?

They are very easy to prepare. Look online, just for the fun of it.

@marguicha I like to make them stewed with a little oil, not boiled, the frozen ones are full of water, you cannot make them like this.

I love artichokes but don't know how to prepare fresh ones so I have either canned artichoke hearts or marinated artichokes which I enjoy eating with cheese.

I wrote here how to prepare from the raw stage. It is easy and more delicious.

@porwest You buy them raw. And then you cook them in water until the leaves can be taken out easily. Drain them and serve them any way you like. I love them with homemade garlic mayo.

They can be used as you say, but I buy them raw, cook them and eat them with a dressing.

@marguicha I am sure it tastes good. Are there any vegetables close to artichoke's taste?

I'd love to try artichokes sometime, but I don't know how to fix them properly.

I just cook them in water with a bit of salt and vinegar until a leaf can be taken out easily. Then you can serve it as is, with a dressing or mayo or you can take the meal off the leaves and make a quiche or a sauce.

@kobesbuddy I think it is more than that. But I check it with the leaf off method.
