Storm Damage and Health Report - Day 25

Yesterday was quite a day around the old homestead. Winds were high and the rain came down. There were three tornadoes about an hour to the south of me. Lots of trees down, power outages all over from what I learned in church this morning and saw along the curbs as people had large cut up trees/branches on the curbs.
I haven't heard yet about any injuries from the storm and tornado damage. However, as a result of the power outage, while I was out doing my emergency run for my son, I saw an accident on my way home. Someone didn't wait their turn at the non-working traffic light. A van was turned over and many people were helping the people in the van to get out before the police showed up. One police car got there as I turned the corner on my street. There was another car in the middle of the intersection. I don't know which vehicle caused the accident. I can say with timing, I just missed being part of that accident as it happened after I went through the intersection which is half a block from my son's work, McDonald's.
I didn't see my son when I delivered the pizzas, as he was at another McDonald's unloading a truck from the one he works at with all the freezer items so the food won't go bad. I don't know how long the power was out. I need to ask him when it came back on.
Needless to say, it was crazy around here the whole day. I missed being a part of the power outage by one block. I ended up going all the way downtown before I found the ATM working at my bank. I was going to go to a gas station ATM, but the one I finally found working was close to my bank, so I just went there and then went to get the pizzas for my son's crew.
My brother called to wish me a happy birthday, and I learned he had a tree down in his back yard. Half is still standing. He's grateful it didn't fall on the house. A neighbor has already helped him cut it up and it's on the curb.
At church this morning, a gentleman showed damage to his car. He had just gotten in the house when the storm hit and many trees came down. I think he said it was at his cottage. He said the roads were littered with fallen trees and one came down on his car. He also has a pontoon. I think the pontoon was okay, but it was found down the beach and their dock was no longer.
I'm grateful everyone I know came through it safely. Today we have the evidence of the storm. Skies are blue with nice high white clouds and it's going to be a very nice low 80s F day with a cool breeze.
As for what I ate. I didn't eat a lot, but what I ate was loaded with calories. I made my apple nut crunch. Nuts are good for you but have a lot of calories. No sodium, which is good, so my sodium for yesterday is awesome. I also didn't work out, so I didn't burn any calories yesterday.
Calories: 2804
Sugar: 67.5
Carbs: 172.36
Protein: 87.5
Sodium: 508
Fat: 191
Today is another non-workout day. Though the numbers for today should be better. It's pot roast Sunday.
How was your day yesterday? I know many of you had sweltering temperatures. Did you also have storms?
Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay. I didn't go out and get storm pictures.

I'm glad there haven't been reports of anyone injured or killed, by this severe storm that hit! Just having a car damages, is bad in itself. I hope nobody was hurt, in that car accident

@kobesbuddy Yes, it can, that's why I'm extra careful watching every car in the intersection.

how fortunate nobody 'twas harmed, hon. 't least those 'f which ya know. folks're weird when 't comes to lights not workin'? seems their drivin' lessons 'f years gone by no longer pertain. i wish 't times they'd make folks do a drivin' test e'ery 4 yrs, jest to keep 'em honest. hopefully no serious injuries from that wreck.
i feel ya discount yerself a bit'n days ya don't go to the pool 'n such. yer still burnin' some calories walkin' 'round yer place, goin' to church, etc.
stalled storms here last eve, movin' jest 5mph. some places got good rains, we got some sprinkles which hopefully 'twas 'nough to open the lands a bit. i've fingers crossed fer more rain 's 'nother band 'tis jest to the west. seems such's 'lso movin' slowly. got lots 'f high winds 'n there 'twas loads 'f branches down here (albeit small'uns, thankfully). 've not seen any 'f the hummers nor my lil squirrel friend today.
the positive bein' 'tis 'nly 73 degrees here 't nearly 2pm! yup, 34 degrees cooler'n yesterday 'bout this time. o'ercast skies'n a breeze. 'tis a shame i'm still a lil screwed 'p from the barometric changes 'n can't get out'n 'njoy such.

@just4him i feel fer ya with that barometric pressure schtuff. 'tis a nightmare, causes swellin' 'f cysts'n my brain (yay me! i've 13...) 'n they 'ffect my speech, muscle control 'n a host 'f other goodies.
oh, mr. squirrel 'tis jest fine. he's filled'p with watermelon rinds's 'f this 'fternoon. he seems a glutton fer punishment??

@crazyhorseladycx At least it's something the blue jay won't eat.
I'm sorry you have cysts on your brain. That's awful!

The barometer is not my friend. If it goes above 30 my knee is bad. Usually, it's the right knee, but they tend to take turns on which one is bad since the arthritis is bad in both.
I'm glad it cooled off and you had a nice enjoyable day. I'm sorry you haven't seen your friendly squirrel. Maybe he moved on.

That's great that you made it home safe and sound, sorry to hear about the accident; that is scary! I hate when the lights are not working...or when they have the flashing orange light saying "turn when it's safe".
The numbers sound great, even though it was a higher calorie day! Sometimes those are needed!

@MommyOfEli2013 I try not to have cheat days, and if I do, I limit what I eat afterward so the numbers aren't too high.

@just4him Well that is good....I don't like them at all!
I understand, I don't like them myself if I am dieting; if it is a cheat day then I don't really care.
