All Day Long

We left at 8 this morning for Bob's appointment. Made it nicely on time. The urology office had not gotten to listen tot he voice mails and were unsure why he was there. We filled them in on the two ER visits, the catheterizations, the antibiotics, etc. Hubby is not bleeding and he tried being without a catheter all day today, so we stayed in Wichita until the end of the day. In the end it seems something is not working right, who knows what. So rather than set himself up for another ER visit, he is catheterized again. He will be scheduled for another flexible cystoscopy. After being gone all day to a town more than an hour away, I was home in time to go work at VBS. I have been away from here all day long. It is now bed time. Bob works tomorrow. I go for a four hour training. Hopefully we get the phone call to schedule his outpatient procedure soon. Then of course there is VBS. Good night to you all.

How nice that you help with VBS. When my kids were younger we went to a different one each week for about a month and they had a lot of fun. I wouldn't have been very happy that the office didn't know why you were there. I know they are so busy but I feel they need the time to go over our records first before seeing us.

The urologist was puzzled because it had been just a little over a week since Bob was there and in good shape. This doctor said he has been hearing that many calls are not returned. He has a different lead nurse. Lead nurse did not even listen to the whole message. I know this because he never called me on the number I recorded, but rather on my cell. We had the lady who had been the lead nurse, and she always has to do the same thing, weight, vitals, and new meds. Doc met us in the hall and talked with us personally.

The catheter is a better option than the er. Hope they find the problem.

Yes, going to the ER is costly and exhausting. He needed to see his regular urologist.

It was. The drive was long enough it was not practical for us to go home while we waited.
