A Flotilla of Geese

I had a wonderful time in the park. Even got a tan while I read for at least an hour and ate the snack I picked up at Aldi. Healthy by the way. Unsweetened applesauce cups and to-die-for chocolate treat - Live G Free Cocoa Loco Baked Chewy Bars. 
Not a lot going on at the park which is why I love it there. A couple of women sunbathing. However, the action was on the water. I looked up when I heard the familiar sound of geese honking and saw a sight I've never seen before. Geese in a straight line on the bay. I usually see geese in the sky overhead, not on the bay so this was a real treat. I took a lot of pictures and was going to make a collage of them, but they were farther away than I hoped they were. However, this picture was good.
It's hard to see what you're capturing with it so bright outside.
Now that I'm home, I'm going to get to work on a book. I thought I would stop in and let you know what I've been up to. Yes, I even remembered to get my sister's birthday card and stopped at GNC. That was my first stop before Aldi in the same shopping center. I got the card on my way home from Dollar Tree.
It's also game night with my friend down the hall, so I want to get some book work done before then.
And to make things better, it's also Family Night at Lambeau and the beginning of Football season. Are you ready for football, America?

What a nice afternoon at the park. I'm glad you enjoyed the outdoors and the sights of nature that you took in. I am ready for football...collegiate football. Geaux Tigers 
. I am done with NFL after all the kneeling and won't be supporting them anymore. But I wall always be a tried and true LSU Tiger fan.

It was a fun Family Night as Lambeau. I never watched the practice scrimmage before, but it was entertaining as I saw how well the rookies are. It should be an interesting year. A couple of rookies said they hoped they make the cut.

wonderful that'cha went to the park'n got to 'njoy the sunshine 'n nature's other gifts. great pic 'f all the geese. football? i'd rather a root canal with no pain meds than to suffer through such.

@just4him i've ne'er been 'nterested'n sports. trained a bunch 'f horses through the years fer such, but ne'er competed myself. jest no desire.

@crazyhorseladycx I mostly have no interest in sports. However, I will always be a die-hard Packers fan and so glad football season is here again.
That must have been interesting to train horses.

I love to see Canadian geese swimming across the water:) They come to the shoreline of Lake Huron, but not when swimmers are splashing around in the water or lounging on the beach. Nice photo!

@kobesbuddy I see them mostly out at Bay Beach Amusement Park or the Wildlife Sanctuary across the street from the park. I've never seen them at this park though which is around the bed from the Amusement Park and Wildlife Sanctuary.

I don't know where they were headed. They didn't take to the sky as long as I watched them. Yes, it is good to have uninterrupted reading time.

Sounds like you had an enjoyable day outside with nature. Where there's a lake there's a good chance you will find geese, swans or ducks. We have all 3 in a lake nearby. The geese are the most annoying cause they cross the street into traffic causing cars to stop and wait.
