Do you respond to comments on someone else's post?

United States
August 6, 2019 8:22pm CST
I do sometimes, when I read the comments, every now and then I will agree with what someone has to say. But I think it may offend, some and be it the the person who started the post or someone responding. I thought that this is what the site is about to interact, but I won't be doing that no more, even if tempted. I don't mind when people do it to mine, it just keeps the discussion going.

i do that on rare occasions and i think it will be an advantage to whoever responds to that discussion. that means earnings for him or her, so why get offended? this will not offend me at all

Unless someone politely asks me not to, if I feel like adding to the discussion, I will. I add stuff if I feel it is relevant. I got chewed out on facebook by someone though for doing that. It takes all kinds of people in the world. Please feel free to leave comments and responses where ever you like in my posts, my friend.

Sometimes I'm in the middle of them, as long as the discussion is still going on it's okay.

@CookieMonster46 I don't understand why that should be offensive. The more we comment, the more we earn. Comment away on my posts and make me rich!

Yeah. Certainly! Earlier I wasn't doing that. But, now, I've started to cultivate that habit. Also, when I'm responding to someone's comments in other's discussions, that means I would have also commented to that discussion. :=)

exactly, I would think they would like the activity , leading to even more comments, and interaction. I have had people comment on my discussions, and comment to each other and change the whole conversation , but I jump in on it also, so never a loss.

@CookieMonster46 Yeah. Very true. One of our friend here in myLot had beautifully quoted this like - "Each discussions will be like a phone-call. You will speak on the subject for a while and then it gets diluted to the other topics." This makes sense. This is how a strong conversation is built.

In the old mylot that is considered an interaction and everybody would respond to everybody's comments. It was the norm back then.

I do at times especially if I agree or want to add on to it. Or curious about their response and ask. After all it’s a means of interacting nothing offensive

I don't do it all the time but if I see I have something to comment on what someone else has commented on I do put in some of my wisdom. No reason not to that is what we are here for as you said to interact.

Was someone offended that you did that? I'm sorry if they were. I don't do it often, but if it's a post topic I have an interest in, then I will look through the comments and like them and only respond if I have something to say. I'm not offended, so if you see something to respond to on any of my posts, go ahead. People do it all the time and you earn for every comment made no matter how long that thread goes on.

I think someone was offended, you never know what will and won't upset people or if just having a bad day. I read the comments too and if they say something that I might agree or disagree with I will make a comment as well. Yes, I thought it was the point of making interaction, and it is nice when it is busy here. Some days a bit slow, so it helps to find people to communicate with.

I do if I feel I have something to say, I have never had anyone say I shouldn't. I figure it this way, if you don't want others to comment on a post then maybe you should have made it a private conversation.

That is what I was thinking, they have to be open, to other conversations getting started. Or comments that don't agree with with their thinking.

@CookieMonster46 right, when you put something on an open forum you have to be ready to accept that others will have different opinions.

Sometimes I do, what I don't like that much is when someone hijacks the entire post..but then again, you get credit for the comments I believe, so it isn't that big of a deal.
