I Met With the Lawyer and Paralegal

I've had a productive day today. After finishing the notifications this morning, I walked the complex, all the sidewalks. It took me half an hour. When I got back to the apartment, I called my son to find out when I was meeting with his friend the Paralegal. Now. I left and am basically just home.
After a good discussion, the lawyer told me to send the certified letter advising I am canceling the contract due to a breach on their part. I typed up the letter and printed it out and just returned from the Post Office. She will get the letter on Thursday.
Thread of Evidence is now in my hands. I'm going to try to get it published by the end of the month or early October. The cover is above. I am so happy to have this in my hands again. I don't need to worry or wonder when something will happen. I have complete control over my work once again.

My son also treated me to Arby's. So, I don't know what those calories are, but it's a day of celebration.
How is your Tuesday? Thanks for reading. Image is the book cover I created for Thread of Evidence.

@crazyhorseladycx Yes, I did. I'll be going through a different company, but the same, sort of as it's still an Amazon company and still free. I'll need to see what the fee is for the copyright and hope it's the same.

I like your cover art and title to your book! I wish you the best in getting it published.
Is there any recourse on the other end once they receive your letter? Could they threaten to sue or take other legal action against you, or is this an open and shut case of breach of contract on their part?

@just4him Well, that's great for you then. I assume it frees you up from being under their burden.

When I talked to the lawyer yesterday, he didn't indicate there would be any repercussion on their part or he wouldn't have suggested my writing the certified letter to cancel the contract. I'm sure it's pretty much open and shut.

I'm glad this is all straightened out, for the breach on their part of the contract. People are dishonest, in all walks of life! Arby's, that's great, what did you end up ordering?

@just4him Eating out once in a while is all right. If it's done very often, it creates a problem.

Thank you. Yes, it was a great day, and though I had Arby's it didn't go too far off track with the numbers. Only in the sodium.
I knew that was the cover when I saw the picture on Pixabay. I found a program to turn it into a cover.

@MommyOfEli2013 Thank you. I was Googling one day about 300 DPI which is what I need for a cover picture and found the conversion site.

@just4him I am glad to hear it was a great day! And that's good to hear that you only went off on the sodium...I know you like to keep that number lower; but sometimes it is really hard to.
That's great, about the picture...and finding a program to turn it into a cover!
