@dgobucks226 - Apparently, when he got the role, Van Cleef thought that he would be on location a week or two tops, and was surprised to learn that he was the co-star.

I say it would take 64 apples! Some local varieties of apples here are Macintosh, Courtland and Spartan. Are gou saying that peaches and pears don't float?
One interesting fact about apples is that an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Your apple guess was a bit high, lol. 36 apples = 1 gallon of cider. I like Macintosh but have discovered I like Gala and Honey Crisp even more
We'll have to do a float test on those other fruits. And yes I've heard that doctor quote a few times over the years

I love the apples from Sweden - they have thinner peels than apples from more southern countries - don't remember many names, but have to check them in our store.. I usually buy apple cider vinegar - it seems to be good for blood pressure..

Yes, apple cider vinegar is good for controlling blood pressure. Apples seem to be gaining popularity in Sweden from what I've heard. I read many people who have gardens in Sweden plant their own apple trees.

Some facts I know
The crabapple is the only apple native to North America.
Two pounds of apples make one 9-inch pie.
The most popular apples in Switzerland are Pink Lady, Gala, Golden Delicious.
No idea how many apples it would take to make 1 gallon of Apple Cider, I am sure a lot, let's say 85.

I have discovered the joy of eating a Gala apple. Cool they are popular in Switzerland too. Wow, an apple pie sounds good we'll just stay clear of those American crab apples.

We have many different types of apples in Denmark. One of them is called Ingrid-Marie. It is a Danish girl name, but I don't know how they got the name. They are more than 100 years old. Another type of apples is called Filippa, they are a bit older (from 1880)
