I don't like the way t-shirts look on my shoulders

What a silly topic, I know.
I was recently gifted a t-shirt from a friend. She got me the size that I would have picked for myself, a size up than my actual size. I don't like the way t-shirts look on me so I do not own many, and do not wear them often.
However, the one she got me was quite cute. It's a peach color with a crab on the front and back. It's from Myrtle Beach. I thought it was so sweet of her to get it for me.
I prefer tank tops or hoodies, to be honest. I don't like shoulderless pieces because I find they are usually awkward in fit.
What type of clothing is your least favorite?

Not a big fan of those. They usually fit awkwardly for me.

I used to stock shelves. My shoulders became bulkier and I absolutely hated wearing t-shirts then because it made my shoulders look too bulky.

People are so confused with trending clothes and what they are comfortable in. I know few who struggle every morning what to wear
.
I prefer clothes I am comfortable in, Full hand shirt with trousers
I hate body fit jeans and shirts which sticks to body
and gives me itches

I used to love form fitting clothes, but now I prefer something that fits but isnt' snug. However, I do love leggings and those can be form fitting. I wear longer shirts with my leggings though, so it's not as obvious that the leggings are form fitting.

I do not wear skirts at all. I only own one pair of shorts.
I like the rounded collared shirts, I find V necks to be awkward fitting wise.

This is an interesting topic, but definitely not silly! I like t-shirts a lot, personally I like tank tops for an under shirt, but I don't like my arms so like to hide them.

I like to go to walmart and get tank tops when it's summer clearance.. .Actually, that reminds me to start looking for those now...
I like to use them for undershirts occasionally, but I also wear them as sleep wear as well. I usually buy a size or two bigger just so I can be sure it falls to my thighs.
I like my arms, but I used to hate my shoulders. That was back when I had bulkier shoulders from having stock shelves for a living.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh yeah, their tank tops are good, and can be at a good price! They work well for undershirts. To sleep in is a great choice as well. Oh yeah, I like when they fall that low too.
That's good that you like your arms though.....and I can understand

@Tina30219 I only have one pair of jeans I wear regularly. I have another pair but they are a bit tighter than I expected them to be.

I wear a tanktop and leggings when I workout / go for walks. Sometimes a hoodie, since I do most of my walking in the cooler months.

I like the type of blouse that covers the shoulder but has a "peek-a-boo" hole at the arm.

@LadyDuck They are not for everyone. I am not a fan of multiple holes in jeans, or in a lot of holes in a shirt. A few "peek a boo" holes are fine, but none that can show more skin than a person should be showing.

@ScribbledAdNauseum The "peek-a-boo" holes are exactly what I dislike.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am with you on the length. I like tunic length and leggins. I wear tank tops at home or at the lake, or zoo. Otherwise, I am kind of old for them. I like them though and have several.

A shirt should not end where the waistband of pants begin. My rule is that a shirt needs to cover my stomach, but I prefer the ones that cover the zipper of my jeans as well.

I seldom wear Tshirts because the neckline is not flattering on me. I like them if they have a scoop neck or vneck. I don't look good in heavy, tailored materials, better in light weight, flowy, silky things.

It is the shoulders that I don't like about a t-shirt. I used to have bulkier shoulders because I stocked shelves, I hated wearing t-shirts. V-necks are usually awkward on me, but I agree about bulkier type clothes, the more flowing type usually compliments my body type better.

Actually it's not a silly topic. I have trouble with the shoulders on any type of tee shirt as they seem to fall over my shoulder and don't sit right.
That was nice your friend brought you a tee shirt from Myrtle Beach

Yes, I plan on wearing it this weekend when I see her.
I can't wear any of the prettier blouses that are designed to fall of the shoulder. They just look weird on me, or don't fall off the shoulder like they are supposed to.

@thislittlepennyearns There's a quote I've seen go around facebook, something like "Those aren't your hoodies anymore, they're our hoodies."
I'm single again. The ex texted me "I've been thinking, we should take a break." I texted him back that I don't do breaks and he could just keep the things that I had at his house."

I don't like shirts that are too short in the body (which for me is anything not labeled as tall and even then sometimes they're not long enough) and jeans that aren't long enough. There seems to be a theme here

I am the same way. I want my shirts to be long enough to cover the zipper of my jeans. I want my jeans to be long enough to hit the back of my shoe but no longer than that. I want my leggings to atleast slightly cover my ankle. I'm not a big fan of shorts or capris at all.

I dislike button up woven shirts. Knit ones are okay. They make my shoulders hurt. I do not like t shirts a lot. I prefer something light weight in hot weather and kind of gauzy. I love peasant blouses.

Leggings are my favorite to be honest. I need to buy / find more shirts to wear with them as I only have a few that reach past my waist.
