Landlady Vs. Tenant - The End

Some people need followers, people who worship them, do whatever, whenever asked, or that person kicks them out of the group if they say "no" and then get all the others to tear that one person into pieces. That is the narcissist for ya, and oh they are so good at being themselves, till someone looks and sees. He is almost 40 years old, she was 22 years old, but I never judge an age difference, its their life. As a landlady I keep to myself and only show up when rent is due or when called about a problem, or and what I hate is when the neighbors call and complain. With that being said I do not know the personalities of the tenants. So, for 21 days the narcissist, the male tenant, had control, or so he thought, because of his past experience of using people, landladies/landlords. The narcissist tenant thought he had the landlady, me, under his thumb and I had to do what he wanted, when he wanted and there is no other way, I must obey. But this landlady gave out rules called a lease and he signed and agreed to those terms. I live by these terms. Sometimes I, the landlady, allows more take from me and let some things go if they are not a major problem, the tenants are the same and they don`t want you in their face all the time and not nit pick. On day 22 I cornered the narcissist tenant, I insisted he follow the law, he had one day left and it was the day. He has his followers running around doing as he said, yes ma`am to me being polite and walking back to them talking bad, I could see their eyes look over at me. Then he was alone with me, just him and his live in (poor girl done left and he was sucking her back in) at 11 pm. He had taken everything out and put it in the yard, I asked " If you have everything out I want to lock the house up and leave." He walks in and says "Come help me move this mattress," the lady came in and helped him and said," that is all of it." The lady got a trash bag and went to get the trash up and he stopped her, she was ashamed at how it looked in that room, he then turns to me with a snarl and says "I am sure this is against the law, I have 30 to 60 days to get out." I said calmly "Wow, your not so nice now since I locked that door." He said "Duh!" with attitude and began to tell me what the state law is. I replied " I did not evict you, read your lease." I turn to leave but he wants to argue. Now its I did not fix things, I had to reply! I have to note the fact 'he was MIA for 3 weeks' and she had moved, "how was I to get in the house? The dope addicts you had in the house wouldn`t open the door, the police had to set them out" I said "read your lease." As I was walking away again....Them comes more of the narcissist traits... Look what I did for you. He replied " See! I was helping you, he ( the guys name) had the rent and the deposit so you would not do without a months rent!" I stopped, turned around and told him " I chose who I rent to, not you! and I most certainly do not rent to dope addicts and no job." Now he wants to hurt me bad, I can see the anger twisted in his face because I got control. See he told me that guy the cops escorted out of my house was from the drug rehab center in town, he was HIS roommate! But he wanted to keep it going, And now to the next level of his personality. "Hey, I know stuff about your family around here" and he does a sweep of his arm like Vanna White and I am turning them in. I answer " I don`t have family here" He said "well your so called friends!" showing more anger I said "I don`t have friends here either, I just rent a house." and walked off. Now comes the tear me down part, do he thinks....As I was walking away he said with a laugh, or sneer, " This house has bugs and termites... and OH black mold!" and laughs. I am at my car now and I yell back, "And you wanted to live here for 30 to 60 days?" What he doesnt know is I have the houses treated for termites and there was no bugs, the lady tenant was clean and would not allow those, plus I look for those when I inspect and signs of rats. The stake out part was I went up the hill and parked, and listened and watched. His friends came back to load his stuff, yes they loaded not him. they were using flash lights and shining them at the neighbors houses, one came out at almost midnight and told him he had till midnight and he was calling the police. I heard the lady ex tenant say " I`m sorry, and yes sir." People ask me how I got them out so fast? It was in the lease, they failed to live by the contract they signed, and the police backed me. The end and Thank God.

@andriaperry That's honestly really good. Not everyone knows how to deal with people like him. I thoroughly enjoy watching a narcissist lose control over people.

I definitely need to see your lease deed. :) In my case, I lease to offices. They tend to take care of most things since they have their own staff. Few problems do occur more than ever... I get them attended or my parent does. So far it has worked for us. I hope it works for another 15 to 20 years.

I would love to do the office rentals, that is where the money is! I am sure since mine is written for Alabama state law it would not work for you.

You must have nerves like noodles to get through such situations and remain sane.

It is good you had contingencies for such happens prewritten in you lease. You are one smart cookie. People like that are not worth the energy you use up getting angry. They are users.

If he had not shown up it would have took 7 more days and it would have been over anyways, with or without him coming.

I was under many eyes, people were watching and they knew it, plus the police knew I was having trouble with him. I never felt like he would attack but Tony said if he wasn`t sick he would have shut that mouth of his. I am too.

You're right. You let it work the legal for it's stipulated in the lease contract.
