I hope my car is OK, yesterday when I was out and about it didn't seem like it wanted to start right away. I made quite a few stops yesterday and it seemed progressively harder to start at each one. The battery was just checked two months ago, and deemed to be in good shape..which means it could be something like the starter..however, I always seem to have some sort of indicator on that there is a problem with the rear lights, but that was checked pretty recently too. I did notice a back door slightly ajar..but no interior lights were on. I am going to see if the battery cables and connection needs to be cleaned. I just don't want it to be the starter since that is expensive. I hate car problems..

Yes starters are not cheap anymore. I hope it is just the cleaning then.

Thanks, I looked at the connections today and did a bit of cleaning around the cables. Eveything looks pretty good to me. I noticed the radio was on though..it could be draining the battery a bit. It started pretty well the 3 times I started it today.

@LadyDuck Yes, I am aware of that but while driving it around it should have been charging.

@snowy22315 The radio on is not very good, it could drain the battery even when you are not using your car.

@sallypup There are a couple of convenience stores within a few miles....but the nearest grocery story is about 8 miles. To get to the convenience stores you really need a car as well, cuz walking on the highway is not safe, as there is no shoulder.

Yes, there is very little transportation here. I can not go without a car.

i can relate to you there. a simple problem will.cost you a lot. i do hope some miracle happens like it only requires cleaning the cables so that you will not spend much.

Yes, I hope so. That is the last thing I need is to spend big bucks on a car repair... We just spent a fortune on it to get it inspected in May..Stupid cars!

All I know about cars is that I can successfully break them. I hope yours works great and it was just a little splutter flutter yesterday.

@Writingghost Of course, but it is likely to just not start after I have driven it somewhere. I have AAA and AARP for tows as well..but I haven't had to use either of those for well over a year.

Yes, car problems are really despicable. My car has never disappointed me. I have always received stellar performances from my vehicle.

This car has been pretty good, no complaints really. Not sure what the issue is.
