I took these shots way way back, they were both taken with 35mm film

First though, can anyone tell me what kind of vine this is? Mom grew this in her back yard and I want to try to find it to see if it will grow here, the bees really love these blooms and I want to grow them for their sakes. Now about that lazy streak I've been on, I'm planning to end it. First thing today I'm going to Costco to restock my freezer ..... my itty bitty freezer Yesterday was cloudy and for some reason made me lazy ....... hey, I have to blame it on something and noooo, I'm not blaming myself Who do you blame when you're just feeling lazy?

The vine looks like the "Mexican creeper". When I feel lazy, I usually blame the weather.

I don’t recognize the vine, although it’s so pretty. I haven’t felt lazy in years, but could use some soon.

I don't know about that pretty flowering vine. It must be super pretty in your harsh, hot climate.

Mom had a rock wall surrounding her back yard then she planted all kinds of trees which helped to shade it even more and I think that's why she could grow so many plants ..... her water bill in summer, from about April to about October .... was over $100 a month.

@rebelann Your Mom was a plant nurturer. I wish I could have known her and spent some time watching her coax shoots into life.

It's a pretty vine. I hope you find the name of it. I can only blame myself when I'm lazy. Having bad weather helps share the blame.

@TishaMears You have a good reason for your lethargy which isn't really laziness. But I don't have a good excuse for mine.

I agree with @JudyEv... But besides that, I know my "laziness" is an ongoing issue that I battle almost everyday with my depression. I totally understand about not wanting to go grocery shopping. I can't stand it myself, but I know that there's a need for food in the house, so I try to push myself to do what's necessary. I do like to blame the weather among other things when I do feel "lazy", though.

@rebelann I remember going around the Alhambra palace with a friend. She is really into plants so I made out I was a keen gardener and very knowledgeable giving them all latin names. She was so impressed until she cottoned on that I was in fact calling most flower aspidistras Opopolium and other silly names like that. She screamed with laughter and told me I had been so convincing! But then she used a few expletives calling me someone who has no father! I think you will understand that!
