Good Afternoon

It's been a trying afternoon. Everything was good this morning. I went to the pool, rock painting, Aldi, and came home. It was after I got home that everything went south. My back hurt so much I couldn't sit at the computer. I took Ibuprofen and put the massage pad on my back and watched a couple of hours of The 4400 on Netflix before my back was finally good again.
I don't know what caused it, but I have a feeling it was the weather. The barometric pressure is over 30 and we have rain and humidity with high dew points. I also made myself a chocolate mug cake using the cacao baking powder since that seems to work wonders in a very short time.
Anyway, I asked my friend to take some pictures this morning, since it's still warm enough for shorts. I wanted to compare my knees to the last time I wore shorts a couple of months ago. I'm not sure, but I think there's a change. Not much, but I think it's there. I know my shorts and pants are feeling looser in the legs if that counts.
With all the walking and working out in the fitness center, I hope it's having some effect.
Let me know what you think. I made the side by side just now.
I also had her take a closeup for the book cover. I like this shirt and think it will make a great picture for the back cover picture.
I also talked with the receptionist this morning as I always do and told her that I didn't feel comfortable about how much info was taken out of the end of the book. She helped me see I needed to put it back. I just finished doing that, catching up to where I left off yesterday.
So, that was my day. How was your Thursday? I'll post the picture of the rocks on another post. I brought four of them home and finished five of them this morning. I'll bring those home next week.
Thanks for reading. Image is mine.

Go with the fit of your clothing, sometimes we build muscle and not show a scale move of pounds.. Keep up with the walking and the legs will go down, you are doing great in my opinion.

I think you look the same. It is good that your pants feel more loose. You probably need to cut your calorie intake. Remember that Whole30 isn't a weight loss plan. It is a way to remove potential allergens/irritants from your system. I could never make and finish pot roast in 2 days.

My calorie intake is a lot less than it was, and with what I'm burning off during the day, my total calories are in the hundreds now.
It's not a true Whole30 anymore. It's more Paleo.
The pot roast is cut in half when I buy it, so it's a total of six meals.

@just4him (:-D) wanna say something which I already started similing before typing = you can still get your self to the shape when you was a school girl...(:-D)
Yeah am serious, a friend once asked a 5yrs ego university graduate and in business like 4yrs then, after school...asking him "please which school are you school now?" Hmmmm just because of his slim stature. As in, his younger than his age.

lookin' great, ms. valerie! so glad yer friend took such 's well's a close-'p fer yer book cover. i see more 'f yer success'n yer waistline i believe? what matters most's how ya feel 'n the progress made with yer 'fforts.
glad ya talked with her 'bout such'n put 't back together. i know what a nightmare such can be - puttin' schtuff back. 'tis 'lso'n opportunity though to 'xpound 'r e'en take 'way info to keep folks hungry fer what'd be next'n the series.
my day? turned out brilliant 's raindrops graced these parched lands :)

@just4him oh, ms. valerie - 't light showered off/on throughout the night 'n 'nto the dawn! such a blessin'. 'tis so fresh outdoors. 'nough mud fer the horses to coat 'emselves, too. debatin' brushin' such off when 't dries 'r leave 't fer natural fly protection... wish i'd the camera this morn, could'a got a great shot 'f mr. rocky takin' a good 'ol roll, lol. 'tis hard to carry such'n feed though. dang 't.
that's fabulous that'cha 'd such to copy/paste! that'd be where my troubles're currently. fortunately i'd printed out a copy, but addin' such back's quite the chore. i need to jest put'n my big girl britches'n get 'er done. perhaps whilst the hubs's huntin' i can get the aunt glued to her puter watchin' whate'er she watches 'n get 'er done.
hope ya jot those down, hon. i get flashes 'f brilliance that tends to lose their light by the time i'm ready fer such, lol. jest so 'xcited fer ya!

@crazyhorseladycx I hope you left it for fly protection. And so glad you got the rain. I hope you get more as I know you need it. I'm hearing Texas is getting a lot. They should send some your way.
I hope you can get back to writing.
Sometimes those flashes of brilliance are just that, flashes. This time, I still know what those paragraphs are and it's been a couple of months now, so I know it will be another book.

I'm so glad you got those precious raindrops.
Yes, and I finally remembered I had the book on thumb drive, so all I needed to do was copy and paste what needed to go back instead of retyping it all. That was a blessing. If all goes well today, I should finish it and be able to start the publishing process.
Funny you should mention the next in the series. I've had the first couple of paragraphs running through my head for a couple of months now. We'll see what happens. That would put four more books on my plate with the New Horizon's series I'm working on.

I see some difference for sure, and if your pants and shorts are feeling looser then that's progress!
Sorry about the back pain, weather can surely cause that!

That must be frustrating with the book. When your clothes are feeling loose like that it is always an indication you have lost some weight. Keep it up!

It was, but it's taken care of. I hoped to finish it yesterday, but hopefully, I can today.
Thank you. I intend to keep it up. It's not easy, but when you know what not to eat and how to exercise to help get the weight off, it's not too difficult and freeing, knowing you are helping your body and in helping your body, you help yourself.
